Thoughts?

Any word if Stage 1 + FMIC will have a map that will allow 91 octane?

Sorry if I missed this along the way...

I'm sure that it will. All Cobb maps have had different options for CAN 91, 91 and 93.

91 Octane Stage 1 was a bit boring.

I switched to 93 Stage 1 this morning and wow! I can't keep the rear tires down.

Only problem, I'm going to have to upgrade the brakes soon because the AP is out of control.

No doubt that 93 maps are stronger for us lucky enough to support 93 octane. Just a heads up for those of you who were planning on just flashing to stage 1 and not upgrading to stage 2...you are lying to yourself! I thought I was going to flash and call it a day but after reading these forums and seeing the numbers the stage 2 guys were putting down I couldn't resist.

I have a love hate relationship with Cobb since I love the tune but my bank account hates you dearly!

I am unsure if you guys over there rate your fuel the same as us in the U.K but we have readily available 99RON fuel at the pump, how would the COBB be expected to perform using this? It's all my car drinks.

I don't think you would notice any improvements but I know that Cobb is working on a race map for race gas.

99 RON is about 94 octane (AKI) here in America.

So yes, you can definatly use the 93 octane maps.

I look forward to it, some of us UK guys are about to take the plunge with COBB now it's Euro supported. There's a couple of fuel stations around here that sell 102RON race fuel but it's so expensive. To run on race fuel/race map all the time then I guess it's a case of additives or meth?

I have COBB on mine, a bit of Tesco super is very much appreciated. not a hiccup or burp at all. I bought mine direct and had it shipped to a friend in NY a couple of weeks ago. The COBB guys gave impeccable support, though I'm sure their resellers would be equally good.

Sorry if this has been asked earlier, but has there been further progress on ATR and/or ATP release dates. That's when the true value of the AP's come out - when you can put any part on your car and have your tune customized to suit it.

Great to hear, I really cannot wait to get hold of one! Have you dyno'd on the Tesco?

You only need about 98 RON to run the American 93 octane maps.

Even 97 RON might be enough.

We are still in some Beta testing, but we are hoping very early next year. I think January and February is going to be an awesome month to have a N54 BMW and a COBB AccessPORT

Any chance of a user adjustable 2 step style launch control being available through ATR?
