I watched my first SEE last night. The Dodgers were stinking up the place, and I had slobbered on myself when I fell asleep in the chair.

There will always be some "drama filler dialogue" moments in these series.
Overall, it's entertaining.

I wholeheartedly agree with this sentiment. I'm not into chess either but after watching this series it changed my perspective. Outstanding acting.

Just finished Maid on Netflix. It's well done. It's adapted from Stephanie Land's memoir Maid: Hard Work, Low Pay, and a Mother's Will to Survive.

Wife and I finished Season 3 of “You” (NetFlix) last night. All said and done, would give it a 5 out of 10. Mildly entertaining, but still believe Season 1 is the best so far.

Have a few more episodes left of You and it has been interesting thus far but it's getting too wild for my liking. It's like they're desperate to trump the first two seasons. If there's a Season 4, I'm out.

Started watching Season 3 of Succession on HBO. Episode 1 did not disappoint. Love the show, and based on previews for this season, expect it to be as good as seasons 1 & 2.

finished 'only murders in the building' last night and really enjoyed it. will be looking forward to season 2.

i run sorta hot & cold on both steve martin and martin short, so i wasnt sure i'd get through the full season. martin short's character is borderline irritating at times but he does have some funny lines and his comedic timing is undeniable.

PBS here has been airing a documentary about Walter Tevis, who wrote the novel and also wrote The Hustler. The doc was pretty good I thought, and they talk a bit about Queen's Gambit and Anya Taylor-Joy talks about Beth. I think the doc streams free, on the PBS website

Just watched the new NOVA: age of stars. My head will be swimming for the next week. Is there a market for astrophysicist? See, I could be working right now instead of watching TV

I'm halfway through Disney's "Among the Stars" and it's fantastic. If you like anything to do with space exploration, etc., I recommend it.

Description from Disney+ website:

“Among the Stars” is a six-part docuseries with fly-on-the-wall access into the vast world of NASA. The series starts with astronaut Captain Chris Cassidy on a quest to get back in his space suit for one last mission - to fly to The International Space Station and help find the origins of the universe, but this quickly becomes a tale of the wider team at NASA, their roles on this mission and collective quest to succeed. With cameras stationed on both Earth and the International Space Station, using intimate footage, personal video diaries and livestream footage, viewers are embedded with Cassidy and the team of engineers, flight controllers and specialists who take on missions risking life, limb and reputation for the greater good of humankind. Join them as their missions unfold.

Also just finished Squid Game. Thought it was good and enjoyable, but definitely overhyped. Still worth a watch.
