My 2007 328xi 6MT E92 is still going strong at 235k miles! I just had my second set of Bilstein B6 (first set at 70k and these at 233k) and installed and some other worn suspension bits but that's just wear and tear. Go for the Logic7 sound system if you have the option. The interior and exterior have held up so well that people still ask me if it's a new car!
Speaking of the interior, a friend of mine, who drives a fully loaded 2021 Lincoln Aviator, got in the other night and says, "Wow, this is a really nice car". I think the red seats help Also, let me be clear, I do not baby this car. I punish it almost daily and it doesn't put up a fuss. The N52 is such a great engine.

This excellent post and group helped me find my 2011 e91 RWD. My second 3 Series as I had a nice e30 years back.
We named our “new to us” e91 "Kestrel" after the small but fast and powerful falcon that can take down prey twice its size.. Thanks all! Last edited by Mike K; 05-19-2021 at 08:01 PM.. Reason: typo |

I ran across this thread just after purchasing a 2007 328xi E90 to replace my wife's recently totaled E82 128i. I agree with just about everything said here.
I really didn't want an E90. I started selling BMWs in 1996 so I've seen a bit of everything. When my wife said she'd had enough 5-series cars and wanted something small, I found her a perfect Sport package 128i automatic (arthritic left knee) which she loved. After its loss, it became nearly impossible to find a nice E82 without paying double what we paid for the first one. We tried. We traveled, We scoured the Internet. And then an X3 M40i I had ordered for an old customer came in and when he arrived to pick it up I remembered his trade-in and for a brief minute wondered why I shouldn't just buy it for my wife and move on. So, she is now driving a one-owner, clean Carfax 2007 328xi 4dr with Sport, Convenience, Premium, Xenons, Cold Weather, Navigation, and Logic7 that has been garaged all of its life and maintained better than the book. It has 84k on it and is beautiful Monaco Blue with wonderful Gray leather sport seats. It has nearly everything her E82 had with the exception of PDK, and some things hers did not have (Comfort Access). We weren't really looking for xDrive but it can't hurt with our 1/4-mile long drive and nothing other than RWD to get us out in bad weather. This probably makes BMW Number Twenty in our current collection, including the salvage of her E82 and my daily-driver 128i M-sport 6MT. So, here it is, and thanks for producing this helpful thread: |

I just purchased an e91 and used this post as a big help, I appreciate it!
So this is also my introduction to the forum. This is my car, it's a 2007 328xi sports wagon 6MT. Sparkling Graphite Metallic and Terra interior. I passed 121k miles on the drive home. I have an issue with the sunroof shade I need to correct, and I've been working on cleaning it up but it's in great shape. I want to do the 3IM conversion and found a local independent shop. |

Damn if anyone in the midwest is looking for a clean fully optioned 328i sedan this one is very nice looking!
https://minneapolis.craigslist.org/h...375742736.html Just wanted to share. If it wasn't x-drive I'd fly out and buy it on the spot. Edit: ooof maybe not "fully" per se as I just noticed it is HK speakers but not the professional HU

I just purchased a 2008 335Xi (6mt, 28k miles, 1 owner, great options) and it is an awesome car at an insanely low price point. I've had a bunch of Porsches, vintage and modern, and was ready for a change. This forum and thread helped with my decision and made me aware of the pros and cons of my purchase. Thanks!

Great post! Just purchased my first BMW about 2 months ago now. it was well maintained by a family friend, he bought a newer 6 series and his 335xi was just above 70k miles. after I took it to the local BMW specialist for a carbon cleaning, they told me I needed new belts and pulleys, VCG, OFHG, Transfer case fluid change, coils, rear struts, oil pan gasket, and fluid changes. I changed all the but the oil pan gasket and just have some fluid changes left to do. the previous owner replaced all injectors (index 12), HPFP (index 12), and the water pump and vacuum lines before. Holding off a little bit on the oil pan gasket because that seems like a lot of work to do and not replace the turbos, but it's still a huge upgrade from my 99 Camry and 2002 RSX. N54 owners if you're doing a belt and pulleys I recommend installing a crank seal guard and crank bolt capture. Even if it only helps a little, it gave me peace of mind, cheap insurance for such an expensive engine.
