William, how is your gas consumption?
I mean honestly, nobody is pushing you into the fire.

There are a number of reasons this could be happening including things related to just being a 10+yr old car with other innate issues. His video also has more christmas lights than others for various reasons.

If it helps you sleep at night with that flash, buddy of mine we flashed the mafless tune with the 3 stage on his car and he doesn't have the weird cold start behavior. Could be a vanos issue or something though I have no codes for anything engine related and it drives great after that.

I will flash it anyway just waiting for IAT arrival. Will post my experience here.

Well, I still have the 2FA3 error in my DME.

It appeared after the flash and it will not clear. The car drives fine. Should I be able to clear it?

if you put the 330i tune on a 328 without doing the intake conversion will it do anything?

Yes it adds power and responsiveness but of course the intake is needed for it to pull as it should. You can drive around without it but def get the manifold later. Here's a video of my car with just the tune:

That error doesn't mean anything according to hassmachine. It'll stay, but it's not an error. You can't remove it unless you do so steps in NCS Expert, but it isn't necessary.

It does something, but barely noticeable. When I did it on my 325, it was a huge difference that I can feel and when I got my intake conversion done it was even a bigger difference because I probably gained about 50 hp as it was a 325 as a baseline.

When I did it on my wife's 328, it was barely noticeable, maybe a little better throttle response and a miniscule amount of low end torque, but that's it. I'll be doing the intake manifold conversion on her's this weekend to fully utlize the tune and really feel the difference.

I'm currently waiting on my bimmergeeks cable to come in so I will be wanting to try it,
Does it work on Xdrive? will it throw any codes and also I've been experiencing really low torque below 3000 rpm and don't remember if that's just how the car is or if there's something wrong, and say i rest my foot on the gas pedal while in cruise i feel slight vibrations

Yes it works on xdrive. Make sure you type in your vin and other info on bimmerlabs.

Scan your car first. If you think something is wrong, scan it first so you don't mix anything up.

After the flash you'll get 3 error codes if you don't have the manifold installed. 1 is for coding and 2 are for the missing disas. No check engine light, just stored codes.

Did you previously have the 4x4 and other CEL lights or was this a result of the flash?

Just need to default code and you'll get rid of it. Interestingly, after I default coded, I didn't get the 2FA3 the second time I flashed the 330 mafless tune.

I had to look up what it means to "default code". So, basically, code the MSV80 module with an empty MAN file in NCSEXPERT, correct?

I found these steps. Do they look OK?

1. Load NCSExpert.
2. Load Profile and select Expertmode
3. F1 (VIN/ZCS/FA)
4. F3 (ZCS/FA f .ECU)
5. Choose E89 (for the E9X)
6. Select CAS
7. F6 (BACK)
8. F4 (Process ECU)
9. Select the Module I want to Revert back to Stock. (MSV80 in this case)
10. F2->Choose "SG_Codieren->ok
11. F3->to start coding the ecu with factory settings according to the vehicle VO.

You would not get the 2FA3 code again unless you flashed a different file. Essentially the DME is checking the "coded" value against the ID value of the calibration file. After you code the DME, you no longer see the error.

I always Coded my calibration files to match the "coded" data in my DME. Just hate the NSCexpert stuff.

Any case, the error does nothing to the operations. You can leave it alone and not worry about it.

That looks correct.

I also did the MAFless tune like 2 weeks ago, no issues with cold starts like in the video posted in the previous page.

I tried running the IAT without the MAFless tune and the car started similar to in that video. But once the tune was on it runs perfect, like a stock car.

After flashing MAF delete question?

Is anyone else running MAF delete with MSV70?

What has been your experience after flashing the MAF delete tune?

Is the car behaving normally right away?
Did the tune have to "break in"?

Thanks

I think I found the problem. Car is showing 2FA4 code-> Limp mode....

I guess I'm going to need some help navigating NCS Expert to see if the power class is causing the fault...

My cold start is just like that. Always has been. I guessed it was the O2 sensors being cold and never thought too much of it since it runs perfectly warm.

MAFless tune as well

Lol I get 16-17 the way I drive. I rarely fully floor it but I'm always revving it out and pulling off quick from stoplights because I want to feel the engine push you back.
