No yeah I know you pulled it off, we were having a PM conversation about it remember! Lol. I'm just wanting to keep my factory adaptive bi-xenon lights bc of the quality of them. I'm posting this auction bc I've been researching this subject for the past month or so and the listing and product is deff brand new. Confirmed with rolling gears as well that these led rings are a brand new product.

Is there any difference between these headlights for 05-08 bmw PreLCI e90 and the ones for the 09-12 bmw LCI e90 ? The PreLCI headlights are way cheaper and They look exactly the same....

I received my headlights.
Build quality seemed better in the photos. I was expecting the projector to be bixenon. It is not The lens are quite large, I guess 3" or more I hate the sidemarker, more exactly the 3 leds. On close inspection they look horrible. If you go back 1m they are ok. However the yellow color is different to the rest of the leds facing forward. I thought about how to install the HID kit for 2 days. Here is what I came up with: I removed the rubber sealing and the 12v wires for the low beam from the dust cover I extracted the 2 12v wires from the xenon kit (from the rubber dust cover) I enlarged the headlight dust cover and installed the xenon rubber dust cover there. I filled the 2 holes in the rubber with an ordinary 220V power cable (I think it's 2.5mm). They do not serve any other purpose. I covered the wires with silicone pictures: https://goo.gl/photos/6UZRMHdqmAVn6Cms8

I haven't had any issues with condensation, through several rain storms and a few car washes. I also have an LED light kit and the seal behind the bulb isn't even closed anymore (LED heatsink/fan sticks out).
I got mine from shopauto247 I think.

Why is it that the price for a replacement ballast is just as much as the kit?

FYI, the pre-LCI and LCI headlights are one and the same, so you can buy whatever ones you want

unless I was/and still am dreaming, I am sure, as I installed the non-LCI headlights to my LCI car
https://goo.gl/photos/uPHDyqQxyaAx3JwCA and LED bulbs have very little light output, even halogens are much better

I "knew" it .... obviously they look very similar , same shape, same connector, same pins etc. Ive been trying to confirm this for weeks, but have found people saying there are and other saying they are not the same. How do u like these headlamps so far, any problem with them ? did u install HIDs? if so , what brand ? What did u do with the wires? |
