Mod 166 - Installing mid bass drivers in the kicks
Technically part of the continuing upgrade of the audio system, but have included it here because people said it couldn't be done. Not easy but it is possible |

Mod 169 - A pillar mounted tweeters
Had to cut up the A pillars to mount the focal tbe tweeters. Used the zigsaw technique to make the pillars but trimming them is a bit out of my skill set. Big thanks to Tim at Sew Fine for the great trimming work Last edited by Socket; 06-04-2023 at 08:11 AM.. |

Mod 170 - Subs in truck baffle
Upgrading the bass thanks to 2 x Acoustic Elegance 15" subs. Had to close off the trunk by building a baffle strong enough to stay rigid even at full tilt. Carpet trim, wiring and LED lighting to finish it off |

Mod 171 - Rear fill
Another pillar build to move the rear fill speakers from the parcel shelf up onto the C pillars. Tricky to fabricate because the pod needed to clear the head rest as it folded up and down. Once again thanks to Tim at Sew Fine for the trimming |

Mod 172 - Amp Rack 2
The installation of the subs, required a redesign and rebuild of the amp rack, including the addition of a Zapco mono block bolted up under the parcel shelf. Trim panels will be required down the track to tidy everything up and provide some usable trunk space again. |

Mod 173 - Front Sub
Glove box delete and some cutting of the dash to fit in a 10" front sub. My first attempt at something like this. Lucky Peter for PSSound was in town, along with Jay from Wicks Wires and Coen from Fab Audio to help finish off the sub box and trimming before the demo day on the weekend. Thanks guys. Demo of the working system included Last edited by Socket; 06-04-2023 at 08:54 AM.. |

Mod 174 - Lithium Battery Pack
Needed a bigger battery to be able to run the audio system without running out of charge, so decided to do a battery delete and install a lithium pack. Turns out the new cell pack was too big to fit in the side cavity, so the OEM battery was retained and a anderson plug installed so I can plug in the lithium pack when I need extra capacity |
