LOL...let me know if you figure that one out. I just picked up the schwaben scan tool as well (someone here recommended it ...wink). If I could, that would be great. With a 225/45/17 and my cruise set at 80mph, my actual speed is 73-74mph on waze. Annoying.

I will say that BMW underestimates the actual speed of our cars. The cops in my area throw up signs that will read out my speed often, so I set cruise control to 80, and the signs read that I'm going 75 every time. Torque confirms that my GPS speed is always about 5mph slower than what the speedometer tells me. Makes me fel a bit better when the car tells me I'm going 10 over the speed limit, when the police will only see it as 5 over the limit.

Yeah...My only problem is when I take my wife's car and start driving my habitual 80(bmw actual 75mph), in a non-BMW and then blow by a cop doing ...gulp 80 actual

Talk to BB_Cuda. If I remember correctly it's an Alpina pan that is retrofitted on. Could be mistaken. Peruse through this thread, it should hold the answers to your questions: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...1176822&page=2

Only issue being the ARC-8s are expensive. Hopefully when the time comes I can scoop up a used set for a good price. If not I may just grab the Alzor style 030 in 18x8 square.
ARC-8s look nice. But the narrowest ones are 8.5" wide. Can you put a 225 size tire on a wheel that wide? Tire Rack says 8" is the widest you should use. Alternatively, will 255s fit on the front of an E90 if you want to go square with wheels and tires?

Apparently so...I would just check if this dude was running them on a LCI, but son't see why not.

The Apex representative I talked to said you could pair a 245/40R17 tire on a 17x9 Arc-8 wheel, and it would fit directly onto the E90 without rubbing. Below is a picture of what it would look like. And that is the color of my car, so it would look the same, and it is fantastic.

Good to see you around here Peter! Knowing how you enjoy a good handling vehicle, go to 245's up front and 265's in back. Firehawk Indy 500s are an excellent tire for the price, a full set is under $500. A tuned/deleted car with 225's out back has an orange triangle on the dash whose illumination is rather correlated with the skinny pedal under ~70mph. I drove one car like that and didn't fancy it much .

I'm stopping by Firestone today to see about ordering the Indy 500's. They have a sale right now for $100 off $500 purchase (President's day sale). If I can get that, I'll be walking out the door with a new set of tires for $430 tax an all. Not as good of tires as say some Michelins, but for that price it can't be beat.

A little early morning snow action:

First time driving it in the snow. Not bad. I can imagine how it might be without dedicated snows, however.

Absolutely useless LOL. I had to pull my car on level ground after the first snow to get it into the shop with Michelin pilot sports.

Did you end up with a square or staggered setup for summer tires? I'm trying to decide what's best.
I run square year round.

The car scene. Where it's acceptable use meth, and even make your own if you want.
