BMW Newbie
Very Nice ride. I'm new to BMW. I bought my wife a Black Sapphire on Creme 2008 BMW 328i Convertible w/o sport package and she let's me drive it every now and then but I want to change her 17" wheels(5 spoke OEM) with run flats and I want to go for the look of your car. However being that we both are used to a Lexus type of ride and new to BMW, I'm concerned about ride quality. The BMW ride currently is decent. Its much bumpier than I'm used to but I'm starting to enjoy the "feeling of the road". The handling and cornering is superb. But I need help on deciding on the 18" Sport Package Type 197 wheels or the 19" 335i CSL Sport Package type as shown on BGBoost's car. I really want the 19" look........but the ride quality is the concern. Any ideas?

Thanks for the advice. I really want the 19" but I know my wife couldn't deal with it if the ride was too rough. So I'll go with the 18's so I have to pick the right wheel. It will either be the OEM sport package type 197 18" or a real nice replica. I like the staggered look. I would change the run flats but again with her being the primary driver its probably better for her to roll with run flats in case of an emergency. I'll probably look at the changing the shocks too. Thanks again.

I like the sound of my basic stereo system but the bass sucks for some songs.... I have a wide music taste but wold like to hear all my music in a way that dose it justice.
I would like to add a subwoofer but I worry about the space in the old convertible some people put one in the rear arm rest. What are my options I have read that people are adding the earthquakes under the seat but there are no reviews. Has anyone tried this? I have the basic system but I have a single din media pioneer system with a focal solid 4 channel amp and a alpine m2000 mono amp in the wings but don't mind using the stock system. I like the idea of the arm rest sub any other ideas. |
