Hi all,
I'm Aidan, new member 1st time poster I'm needing some advice on my 320d e91 2008. I'll start 9 months ago when it started using coolant, loads of it without signs of a leak. I changed the thermostat and water pump but it was still getting air in the system. I managed to narrow it down to the EGR cooler so I blanked it off (I know opinions are split on this but rightly or wrongly it's the road I went down so please don't throw me to the wolves) any who the car then ran sweet with no issues. the other day I saw the dreaded coolant low light and my heart sank. I topped it up and around 1,000 miles later it pinged on again. topping up I noticed a little (not alot) of oil in the coolant but not coolant in the oil. it was just enough to get a few light specs on my finger when dipping it in. I'm hoping it's the seals in the oil cooler heat exchange but I know it could also be the head gasket. has anyone else had this issue and how common are the Head gaskets for failing in these? other than the mentioned symptoms the car is running sweet and gets good mpg. I've serviced it regularly. I'll take on most jobs DIY such as brakes, servicing and engine work on my other halves clio but don't think I'd have either the confidence or know how to tackle a head gasket on the Bimmer even though the N47 engine does seem to be one of the few modern cars which actually has a little space to work. I hope I've included enough info and not waffled too much also I've tried posting this in the relevant place but it wouldn't let me |

New member with 320si
Hi
I've had my Carbon Black (blue!) 320si for a couple of months and am loving it. I know all the scare stories and how to treat the engine and it is currently running very sweetly indeed. I aim to keep it that way! Here is what Autocar had to say about it: https://www.autocar.co.uk/car-review...ives/bmw-320si It's not perfect, but I aim to get it somewhere near over a couple of years, whilst using it as my daily for 20 mile commuting. There are about 285 registered and perhaps only 350 in total left in the UK, from the original 500. I have hooked up with some other owners in facebook and hope to find some more. I'm bound to need advice and a chat about bits and bobs, hence joining this great forum! Cheers Martin |

Hello!
I'm here to learn more about my E90 320d, as well as to check a few details about replacing the CCC iDrive system. It's a 320d SE so I gather iDrive is an unusual option to have (given the CCC has failed I suppose I don't actually have iDrive anymore). |

Greetings from South Wales
Hi everyone, new to this forum and to being a BMW owner as well. After the sad passing of my faithful mk3 Mondeo I decided to go for a 'slight' upgrade.
I am now the very proud owner of a BMW E90 320d M Sport, as seen below. Early days have been a lot of fun to both drive and detail and although I'm not planning any big changes apart from a couple of low key cosmetic items, all advice and suggestions are very much welcomed. |

Hello from Wirral
I go and pick up an E90 330D tomorrow. Le Mans Blue, 67k miles, Lemon leather. The rest is pretty much a POV spec car but I aim to make it even better.
Looks crap atm but I’ve got new wheels, lip spoiler, grills and have also bought the Bilstein b12 pro kit a custom exhaust and diffuser to go on. As well as a dpf delete, egr delete and remap later this month. Later the plans will be performance clutch/flywheel and hybrid turbo. Will post pics of progress on here and on Instagram @DaveyE90 Davey Last edited by Davey330D; 01-25-2019 at 01:40 PM.. Reason: Oh, the MV3’s are getting refurbed and coated in sparkle silver too |

Hi all!
Got my first BMW last October, an e92 325i M Sport. Loving it so far, definitely an upgrade from a 1.4FSI Golf, but the N53 engine is already giving me grief! I'm gonna need some help/advice please. |

Newbie a month in with my E93 335i
Hi all
Brought my E93 2007 335i about a month ago and already find myself saying its impressive even after owning a E46 M3 and dare I say Merc E55 AMG. Being a un-touched 2 owner and only 60k miles was the perfect blank canvas for me to start moulding into my own vison. I've started with a window tint ( yes I know illegal). I started doing some geeky research into performance options baring in mind (loosely ) that having a misses and little one dictates the budget. but after getting some cash in hand over xmas Prezi to myself a Cobb V3 unit. Fitted it today and loaded the Stg1 LT Aggressive 18Aos v401 map ermmm OMG! what a difference even with the car in stock condition at moment. In Normal drive mode its much the same or so I thought when I kicked down the car went mental and clearly didn't like having to deal with the map change so that told me that best use drive mode for sunday driving. Then I moved to sport mode and thats when I started to see from around 4000rpm it just wanted to take off. I've found that leaving in drive and then using the paddles to switch to manual mode gives the best performance. I'm very impressed with the Cobb, looking forward to the weekend to having a play with the different Stg1 maps. once I've had chance I will post results of 0-60 time differences between maps. bye for now peeps N |

Hello E90 fellows! Joining the E90 club. LCI ED addition to my F11 LCI family. I have only literally done about 20 miles in the car. Apart from it being tiny in comparison to F11, I can't get over the great fuel economy!

Hi
Hi guys. I am now the proud owner of an e90. I have to say I love it. Now I just need to get some tips from the experts on how to make the most of it ;-). The first thing I would like to do is change the stock halogen angel eyes to white leds. Where would I post for that? I would imagine this is a common topic, but with technology changing so quickly hopefully there are some good, long lasting bulbs I can try?
