Hi all. About to purchase a used e91 320d. Jave been doing tonnes of research and learning about home maintenance and servicing and also common issues etc etc with all the engines and specifically the n47.
My main question is hopefully simple. I have 3 cars to view 1. 2010 320d se 140k fsh full mot no advisories on records ever. 1 lady owner. Clutch and flywheel done a couple years back. £4600 ono 2.320d m sport. 2 owner. 145k fsh and full mot no advisories. History of usual advisories of suspension tyres and bushes. Has complete history if clutch and flywheel, egr, suspension, turbi and a few other items (but no timing chain) £3995 3. 2011 m sport plus 165k. Fsh. Mot up in may (Px sale) looks the best cosmetic condition. Traced early ownership and services carried out at stratstone. Trader spoken to last owner and no recollection of any mechanical work carried out. £4795 All have "accounted" for higher miles as motorway use. My issue is which to pursue more. Does a car which has had fsh but no mechanical work provide a better bet than a car with fsh but a list of previous repairs done. Is one lucky and a food find and the other a lemon that has had the work done because everything seems to be going on it. I genuinely cannot decide which is a better bet. Is a history of work carried out better than one that hasn't needed any. help!! |

hello
Hi all,
This is my first post as new member and validation required. I have just bought a 2009 318D M Sport E91. It has done just over 50 thousand miles and looks to be in really good condition. What should I be looking out for and are there many common faults etc? Thanks for your time. |

Hi all,
Picked up a 2007 E92 335d SE over the weekend. I've had an E46 323Ci in the past, so this is my second BMW. Other than that, I've owned three Vauxhall's. The last one was a Signum 2.8T which was the most unreliable thing I've ever owned, so part exchanged it for this 335d. Loving it so far |

Well I bought an E91 325iSE just over a year ago, and haven't really gelled with it - although the heated seats were rather nice over winter!
Today I picked up an E90 330i, with split/fold rear seats, Bi-Xenons, sunroof and folding mirrors and a retro-fitted DAB stereo. It feels much more "perky" so I'm expecting to enjoy it! They're both Sparkling Graphite, but instead of Lemon leather I've now got beige and wood trim (pipe and slippers weren't specified)! Hopefully I'll get a photo up tomorrow - oh and if anyone is looking for a high mileage E91 with full BMW SH maybe you can message me. (I've not been on here long, so don't know how that works). Hi. New guy from Manchester, Just bought this 320d.
I'm still learning new things about it at the minute, looking to get the body work up to standard as there is few scratches on it service and get her booked in for her recall. The pictures don't show the true colour she's a real dark navy even though on log book it says black. It's got 117k on the clock. Will have a good look on this forum and really looking forward to getting to know people 👍🏻 |

New E93 Owner
Hi all
Just returned to the BMW scene after a few years away. Has a E46 Coupe before then my dream car of a Alpina B3.3 Convertible. After that a Lexus SC430 then a Mercedes 350 Sport Cab AMG but really missed the BMW quality so back with the E93. Looks a great place for help and advice so looking forward to contributing too. Added a couple of pics below but not had much time to do anything too her just yet but plenty planned.
