Awesome work Socket and VTL. What sort of power do you thing you will get at the wheels with your particular turbo? Internally gated right?

I was inspired to buy my E90 because of the Blue single turbo E90 on full boost. Never thought it would be so hard to land a single turbo in our cars...

Thanks Monty. Yes IWG. Not sure guessing 320 kw on pump and 450 kw on E98 with PI. Is a big job but the first time is the hardest. Now we know what parts are needed and what works and doesn't a second one would be much easier. Will put together a DIY when we have time

+1 on what everyone is saying about Vince/Yoda can't believe a supposed "professional" shop/business stuffed you around so much and Vince has been able to fix it

Yep, didn't do enough reading before I bought. It was either the E90 or a ford XR6 Turbo. Went to the ford dealership, didn't have one to test... Interior is pretty bad too. But I am a sucker for old fords, like XW's and XY's...

Motiv mate. We are going to throw it onto the dyno tune it with the guys in the US. Chris and Jake are top guys. Pretty reasonably priced for a remote tune. Meanwhile took it for a squirt last night to get some logs. No running any boost control so just on spring pressure. Log below

Couple of vids

Vid 1 - Test drive two to check the boost level after installing the motiv base map and adjusting the waste gate. Is running on spring pressure without boost control at this stage. We hit 9-10 psi with the boost coming on around 2500 rpm. Will be interesting to see what we get when properly tuned

Vid 2 - Just a short clip of the exhaust note while running the temporary straight pipe. Is embarrassingly loud !!! Glad the car is going in to the exhaust shop next week to connect the DP and exhaust. Windows are closed in this vid

Hey Socket, I cannot get the Datazap log to work. I get to the Datazap - Generating Chart screen but no chart is generated. Sounds good in the videos. You could make a video like the car chase in "Bullit". It would sound great. When you get it fully tuned, it will be a beast to drive. Can't wait.
