Went well thanks Monty.. No problems other then the version 3 map nerfed the car which kept tripping out with an over boost code when we hit 4500 revs...
More work needed on the tune I think lol

Glad you got some reliable power up and going.
The m3 bonnet looks great on these cars.

Mod 89 - Black seats

Time to swap out the old beige seats for a set of black leather front and rears, thanks to DrJ

To keep the two tone look going, swapped out the black front and rear consoles and put the beige ones back in Is certainly unique lol

Hardest part of the swap, was the drivers seat. The yellow connector plug wouldn't plug into the new seat, so I had to remove the wiring looms from both seats and swap them over. Took about three hours to do, but once switched over the new seat plugged in and is working fine

Pics below:

Pic 1 - Black and cream interior before the swap
Pic 2 - Pulling the interior out (again)
Pic 3 - Inside stripped
Pic 4 - Beige front and rears consoles in again
Pic 5 - Rear seats are done (connecting bolts are a pinta to get to)
Pic 6 - Drivers seats ready for a wiring swap, lots of wires
Pic 7 - Ever wonder whats inside the drivers seat?
Pic 8 - Wiring loom transplant complete
Pic 9 - Done - Drivers side view
Pic 10 - Done - Passenger side view

Perhaps you may be better off with a filter like this one?

I'm guessing you dont have room to fit a 5" dia filter, hence the squashed filter?

Good to see you've got the seats in they look nice

Thanks mate. Don't think that one would fit either. Not much room between the fan and the engine. Need something not wider then 3.5" Might have to get a custom one made up

Seats are in amazing condition.. The guy that had them before me really looked after them

Socks, you should take both sets of seats and get them to swap some of the leather pieces, so you can have dual colour, white highlights on a black seat

Thanks Shan so glad you enjoyed the read mate. Awesome effort getting through 140 odd pages lol. Has been a journey. I cringe thinking about parts of it too like the cf boot lip haha. Really appreciate you taking the time to read the thread bro. Build is not over yet. Auto to manual conversion and PI yet are next and then it will probably be done.. probably
