A good dilemma indeed. My better half is more realistic and sensible. Lise is still looking at 2 series. Will we get an M2 here?
Joel-the M2 sounds like a giant killer in its own right.

My wife thinks it's cute. She asked if it comes in all wheel drive. I had to smile. I think she'll be the 2 series consumer in the end. I bet there will be all sorts of after market enhancements for the M2 when it makes it way to NA.

I agree the 350R looks to be quite the performer. But could still be a bit heavy?

So you're no longer part of the Track Pack ?

No I am not. I still do that 1 event at The Glen around St-Jean Baptiste time but it's mostly a social thing for me.

Happy New Year to you and all the crew.

On cars, there are great choices available, but sadly the loonie meltdown means we'll need to pay much more.....

Hey guys I put my car up for sale. For those of you who know me, know this car is absolutely flawless. It was always babied and is a garage queen. I brought it to the track once and did three 1/4 mile runs. On the third run my charge pipe popped off and never did any other track days or hard ripping. I'm supper ocd and always kept this car perfect. I want someone to take care of her like I did so for any forum member I'll let it go for $2000 less.

Hey guys.. today I have terrible news

Need a garage on the south shore if possible. I really like TC automotive: Chris is the man. But I'm a bit far. JJ heroux chambly seems friendly but can he handle engine work? I tried contacting him but always get the fax. Also saw Atelier Vereggen in Longueuil but no reviews at all.

I'm really devastated since I love my car and can't afford to get screwed.

The problem: today I go nice and slow as usual then suddenly a rattling noise occurs when I press the gas. I stop , check, no obvious problem in engine bay, high temp oil ok.. I restarted and it sounded ok until I press the gas. I turned around home but didn't get far until engine rpm went down slowly to 0. Then engine refused to turn at all. Only a relay click is heard. Low Battery warning came on as my uncle pulled me to the garage. Waiting Monday to choose my garage.

So uh. This thread more or less died, but I just wanted to share how the mod bug survives in Japan.

........... it does, rather well. :P

My poor 911 has taken the brunt of my frustration of not having any time to track it, so despite only putting 5,000 kms on it in a year (where half of it was a single weekend drive through the mountains to the north of Japan), check out what it looked like when I bought it...

And believe it or not, the ONLY part I have NOT modified is the engine, for once! (I mean, I plugged the noise reducer outlet with a hardware store plastic plug, but then, my exhaust bypasses most of the noise cancelling features anyway - but that's the only hardware mod I did to the engine).

Hey there Glenn. I hope all is well. Interesting dress up of the 911. I hope you get a chance to try out a few of the 2 dozen or so tracks in Japan. A few of them are nice from what I have seen on the interweebs.

Query

I have a question for those who drove the F30 or derivatives in automatic : how is the transmission and would someone who is used to manuals find the ZF sporty enough?

Thanks
