Good advice and probably a must at these prices....it’s actually termed agreed value or sometimes guaranteed value.

I would hope that anyone paying the price for an M-Sport wagon would have the necessary insurance so the payout would be fair if something were to happen.

When I got full coverage on my 1963 c10, I was very insistent that if it were to be totaled, I wanted the payout/truck to be appraised at $20k. After repeating it a few times with the agent, she said it would be better if I went with someone who deals with classic cars instead, to avoid haggling the payout later on.

Hope you guys with rare m sports have the proper coverage!

Curious with that type of coverage if you need a professional appraiser to value the car every year when you renew the policy? Also just how hard/easy to find someone to write such a policy with the agreed value at or near what you paid for it?

They asked me to take the truck in to take photos of it at first. It’s been 2 years now.
Easy I guess?
They asked what I valued the truck at and gave me 2 options for a deductible amount and gave me the cost of the coverage based on its value and deductible.

Yes I believe you're correct. I didn't remember which of the two it was. Either way if you call your insurance company it shouldn't be an issue. All you are affecting us your collision rate and in my case it was no different or a negligible difference. No need for appraisal or anything like that, but I have conventional insurance not something like hagerty.

Sorry to drop a tease and then disappear everyone... Its been quite busy now that I'm finally home... That being said, yes, I'm part of the E91 club now! At least, close enough. Many thanks for the link to the Bluewater car listed on CL in Key Largo, FL... Turns out the guy that listed it is a retired dealer that still has his license and moves a few cars a month, as a hobby of sorts. I went to see the car on Tuesday and it looked pretty good. There were a half dozen little dings and marks on the body, nothing bigger than a pencil eraser though, which is ok for me. The interior had a couple of typical things... The inside door handles were wearing and getting the 'sticky' that happens. There is a small separation in one of the seams on the passenger seat. So, no, its not perfect, but it runs really well, drives fantastic, and its perfect spec for me. It has 114K miles, and I paid $8k... I am picking the car up on Friday, and I'll post pictures when I get her home.

On the list at first is a more thorough inspection, and then I'll make a short list of maintenance. Afterward, I'll slowly start sourcing parts to swap the interior... In a perfect world, I'll find a setup in Palladium silver from an E90 M3. We'll see how that endeavor goes.

For anyone curious about the 2011 with 36k we have listed just south of Boston, MA, feel free to ask me any questions.

Last 7: A541336

2011 BMW 328i (Automatic + xDrive)
36,700 miles
One Owner
Alpine White on Saddle Brown Leather

This thing is loaded with all the creature comforts like PDC, Comfort Access, rear sunshades, xenons, heated steering wheel and seats, and more.

Sadly, it is missing sport/m sport package.

The winning bidder has gotten cold feet and backed out, if anyone wants to make an offer. We have contacted the last few bidders as well.

For those commenting on price, remember we have thousands and thousands of dollars invested on top of the acquisition cost. We are not trying to get rich off these things, we do it because we love them and want to add value to them while simultaneously saving a dying breed of vehicle.

We understand that if you're of the DIY mindset, or don't agree with the modifications, the price might seem very high to you.

PM with an offer if you're interested.

I watched that auction. Sorry about the flaky buyer. Sharp looking wagon! I'm sure someone will swoop in and take it off your hands
