I tried contacting you several times over a month ago. I tried multiple messages on your site, I texted you, and I called you. Not a response from anything until my wife emailed you, but the next day I paid for another 6MT RWD.

What is BAT doing to help you out? Bet the needless comments about the price didn't help the sale. I thought it was fair, unfortunately deadbeats on BAT seem to be a trend on some popular auctions. This is the third or fourth car I've heard this happening on. I'm surprised the second and third bidders not interested, they're saving a $750 premium too.

They are pursuing the non-winning bidders and will probably black-ball the winning bidder. He seemed excited about it at first, but said he had never bought a car sight-unseen and didn't want to go through with it. I know the buy-fee is meant to protect this from happening, but there's no legal requirement for the buyer to follow through - they are trying to avoid having to pursue people and make the buy-fee the friction for deadbeat bidders. Out of all our auctions there, this is the second time it's happened.

Hopefully we can strike a deal with one of the non-winning bidders, or one of you who has contacted us.

I didn't message you. My response was just a comment on what cyow5 said about trying to contact you on multiple occasions by multiple routes of communication without a response from you. I just found it humorous that you didn't respond to his comment about getting no response from you.

What am I supposed to say here that hasn't already been said? A couple of his messages didn't come through and I was out of pocket over lots of the holidays and I relayed that in the email I sent to his wife. I apologized for the delay, and never heard back, figured they had moved on to another car.

Sorry I misunderstood your comment.

Good news, we accepted an offer from someone and they want to do an N55 swap, so not only is it going to a good home, it's going to get even cooler.

Thanks to all those who messaged with interest.

That sounds like a great outcome! Will you be doing the N55 swap? I've been curious what the cost would be to pay a shop for that work.

Curious why you’d pay the premium for a 6MT car only to swap it. Seems like you’d save money buying a slushbox shell and swapping in the crossmember, clutch lines, pedal box, code, and engine in this case. To each their own! Sounds like a fun build regardless

I think the cosmetics and suspension and interior being done appealed to the buyer, as opposed to having to bring everything on the car up to spec. Not sure how much would be saved once you start with an xi donor and do all the other restorations needed.

We're doing the swap, looking forward to getting started. Will share a video when completed.

WOW! That's a steal, yes not a full blown M-Sport but still a super clean example!
