and now on to my main post - which i`m putting here for reasons that will be obvious:
DAMN these cars are twitchy in the wet! First RWD, First BMW, First proper wet day with the new car - I went very very sideways on a not very bendy bit of road - accelerating in 3rd with DTC on I/the car handled it well, my trousers not so much. Will be relaxing my right foot quite a bit in anything below 4th and a bend from now on So yeah - Hey from a newb |

Back Again
Hello one and all, I'm back after a very long break due to some personal circumstances. Hopefully things will continue getting back to normal
Both the E90's now have new homes, and between then and now there's been two X5's, one 3.0i and a 4.4i The current toy is an E91. Not much has happened so far... Stance coilovers (not been fully adjusted yet as rims have not been changed) Dash trim paint I.C.E Ambient door lights This will more or less be like the grey E90, light mods nothing too aggressive Due to this covid19 affecting finances things are currently on pause with the mods, but once work is fully up and running I'll get back on track with updates and photos.... STAY SAFE PEEPS |

Newbie Incomming
Hello from a Newbie, long time German car owner living in London.
Past BM's have been an old 320 when I was in my teens. Dark silver with blue cloth interior. Couple of mates had 323i's but I couldn't stretch to one. Cost me a fiver a day to get to work which was a lot for me back then, it was about 25yrs ago. It went for scrap in the end as oil got into the water and I couldn't afford to fix it. Next up was a 323i E36 coupe which I had in the 2000's. Silver with black cloth, loved that car but it got T-bound at a junction which killed it. Last BMW I had was another E36 but this time it was an M3, non-vanos convertible in silver with red leather interior. That was early 2000's I think... Now I am looking for a touring 330i or 335i petrol for use as a sensible car as my current daily is a 997 GT3. Not that I am driving it daily due to the pandemic! Looking forward to reading all about the tourings on here and hopefully I'll find an enthusiast owned car in the near future. |

Hello!
Just bought my 2012 320d Sport+, 50K miles, Alpine white with coral red leather. Not my first BMW but my first of this generation and hoping it will treat me as well as the previous two have done. Not much opportunity to drive the car at the moment due to Tier3/4 situation so no idea whether I've got a good 'un or not yet but fingers crossed... ...so 1000 miles later, no issues so far and an absolute joy to drive - big improvement over my E46 in pretty much every way. The only thing I miss is the engine oil temp. guage. Would gladly swap the pointless MPG guage for this any day! All I've done to it is a couple of Forte diesel treatments but will be servicing when the MOT's due in September.

Introduction
Hi all!
First time BMW owner after owning 2 VW Golfs. Just bought a manual 2007 E92 335i and already i am susceptible to the infamous valve cover gasket leak )and possible the oil filter housing gasket) . Looking to replace these in a week time after seeing plenty of useful DIYs on here, so thanks to those members! The car itself feels much more solid than the VWs I'm used and i looking forward to driving it properly once the leaks are sorted. I am hoping to positively contribute to this forum for all the help i got from it already. |
