You will get abused for asking for a revision. And it will not be the tune you ask for.

I love motiv and AD Engineering
Yeh Brule, Chris at Motiv is pretty quick getting back in a day or two, but feels like there is virtually no difference in the last 4 maps...

Is there someone local or on the forums that you could recommend?

he should be good to deal with.

Single turbo setups have many variants so he might need a bit of time and good feedback on the logs??

Why are you so far off boost target? Shouldn't that throw a 30FF?

My thoughts so far:

- The STFTs arent maxing out anymore, I think they must have played with the fuel scalars. Not sure if this is hiding a potential issue with the car, the AFRs don't go to 234:1 when off throttle with these ADV sensors. Not sure if that is normal

- This latest map just does around 47% WGDC flat to see how the system responds. As you can see, we pretty much only get wastegate pressure at 47% which is very poor. Previous logs I saw we needed 65-80% WGDC to get boost above wastegate pressure. With that poor response from the solenoid and wastegate it would be hard to control boost smoothly even if we got it to work.

Chris from Motiv reckons its the EFR's boost solenoid operates at a higher frequency, so running it at a lower frequency won't really work and could be causing our issues. He is sending us a boost box with higher frequency to test.

All of these tuning issues that Socket and you are encountering with his ST conversion convinces me that sticking with the twins was the way to go. I will probably be proven wrong in the future but currently I am happy.

ST conversion continued

Stupid heat shielding on the wires is flaking off (garbage) so decided to remove it and move the wiring as far as I can to the passenger side away from the heat.

Then covered the coils and exposed wires with some insulating material and another crude heat shield.

Not pretty but seems to work fine
