1) You are only seeing 20oF rise in IAF, not great but not horrible. It's just that the IAF is high to begin with (129oF), perhaps because ambient is high where you are and/or you're stuck in traffic and/or acquired this particular log after a few pulls and the FMIC is heat soaked. Your IAF is not a primary concern right now.

2) You do have multiple timing pulls on all cylinders. I think you just need more octane because most other parameters look reasonable (fuel pressures, STFTs, WGDC, AFRs).

If "Irvine" in your location is Irvine CA, then you're stuck with 91 octane but you could add 1-3 gals of E85 per tank. If you can't do that, then you could flash a map that requests less boost.

3) You're not meeting boost targets accurately but that could be secondary to your octane issue.

4) Episodic torque limit = 1 suggests you haven't turned DSC fully off.

EDIT: sorry for the repetition - I didn't notice that type-dRew had it covered.

Thanks guys, really appreciate it. Wasn't aware that DSC needs to be fully off for the log. I'll report if needed once I get e85 back in the tank.

Just picked this car up recently and figured I should do some logs to check the health first before modding further. Car is a 2011 n55 xdrive 6mt and has Dinan S2 tune with dinan muffler, Cobb CP, and BMC drop in filter. Would someone please take a look and let me know if you see anything odd? There's 3 files to select in the chart. Thanks!

Yes, LPFP drops below 50psi. Probably time for a new or upgraded one

I was having some misfires and cruising/idling issues. I just changed my injectors to index 12 and replaced both rear O2 sensors. Car seems to be running really nice. Can someone check these two logs out. I want to add e85, but I want to make sure everything is good before I continue. Thanks

Logs look great! I would say you can run a few gallons of E for sure.

The car is running full e85 with pure stage 2 turbos, inlets/outlets, stage 3 LPFP, and Motiv PI. Tuned for 26 PSI with MHD BEF.

Some of the codes I'm seeing are:
- 30FF - DME: Turbocharger, charge-air pressure too low
- 2F0C - Intake air temperature sensor
- 2C7C - DME: Oxygen sensor 2 after catalytic converter signal
- 2AAF - DME: fuel pump plausibility

I want to make sure the car is running safe. Data logging during pulls I see cylinder corrections up to -7 but consistently around -3 to -5 on various cylinders.

First, who is your tuner?
Looks like IAT's are too high or you have a leak in there somewhere. O2's might be shot.

Surging at low rpm/light throttle

https://datazap.me/u/t9t8/surging-lo...&data=24-25-26

I've been battling this issue for a couple weeks now. I have a "surging" or "hesitation" issue when either lugging the engine at low rpm or applying light throttle while just cruising/coasting. In the log my STFT and lambda readings jump up and down. At first it felt like tranny issue (auto trans) but the STFT spazzing makes me think engine. No codes are present.

Things I've already done:
-replaced pre cat 02s
-walnut blasting
-new plugs, coils
-injectors done 20000km ago
-reset adaptations
-cleaned vanos solenoids

if anyone has any tips plz help me out

Hi there,

I would like to compare two logs i made between the replacement of Forge FMIC with a VRSF.

log with recently installed VRSF 5 HD fmic :

https://datazap.me/u/studio54/log-15...data=3-5-21-28

Happy with IAT, only 13° rise with a 3rd to 4th pull.. But :
Under target by 1/1.5 psi up to 5000rpm of the third gear.
WGDC a bit high??? up to 58.

Old log with Forge FMIC : https://datazap.me/u/studio54/log-15...data=3-5-23-29

DME is targeting lower PSI with the VRSF, normal ??

Higher WGDCs too while less psi target? leak or normal?

Any help appreciated

First of all, your post does not belong in this thread. This thread is about logging. So move it to the N54 (edit: N55) engine thread.

Second, scale your pictures for gods sake

Third, if you want someone to help you, help them first by providing information about your vehicle and the history of the appearance of errors you are concerned about. What are your mods, your map, your fuel?

That said, you do realize you are getting a mixture control code? 29E0? That's why your OBDII flags for oxygen sensor won't set. Could be any number of problems but one likely possibility is a dead or dying pre-cat oxygen sensor in bank 1.

Download BMW standard tools to your laptop, and use INPA to read the voltage output from the oxygen sensors.

EDIT - just noticed you have an F30. Why are you posting in an E90 forum?

I have a 2008 335i too. I appreciate your input. I am aware of the code I am throwing, I was just trying to understand what makes the o2 read incomplete since I have already replaced all the o2’s. I apologize for posting in the wrong area.

Yeah I don't get why either. Looks like not a leak. But the pull is not proper pulls from 2.5k to almost redline so hard to say.
