Just looked at the logs again a bit closer, yes they aren't the best.
Third 3rd log is the one I was specifically looking at though. It takes a bit of time to build boost from when he goes WOT but eventually meets target, could be boost solenoids??

I am not sure cause the "gear" parameter has not been ticked on his logs, but it looks like the log #3 is a 1st-2nd-3rd pull. It does not take the same rpms amount to spool and meet target depending on gear, for example in first it will take more rpm to reach target than in 3rd.

notzz just shoot a log in third, starting (WOT) from 2500 rpm, to 6500 rpm, then shift to 4th, still WOT a bit and let off.

You will wait for experts answer.

To my low skills in log read, it looks ok for me for :

- IAT rise
- Timings (timings just after shifting to 4th are normal i read somewhere)
- Spool, 500 rpms to reach target, so OK
- WGDC in the ~40 (no leak for me)
- Some throttle closures but it's exactly when you where overboosting a bit, so i believe it's the dme doing this to avoid to exceed target.

With a cold weather like that, you won't need an after market fmic to flash Stage 2+

You should never exceed 140°F IAT on any maps. I don't know if there is an ideal IAT (probably 10°F above ambient), but the cooler, the better.

Car dying 1 second after cold start, MHD stage 2 N55

Wassup folks, I’ve been getting this code on and off for a while now, I’ve searched everywhere and can’t find a straight answer on how to fix it.

It started after I flashed stage 2+, the car would crank and fire up then die a second later. I’ve had to tap the gas a few times to keep the car alive. It runs rough on idle and shakes plus the AFR bounces between 14-15 while that happens, I’m thinking it’s a vacuum leak but don’t know where to start.

Also when I’m coming to a stop the RPMs will drop to 500 sometimes even 400 then the car will react to it and bring it back to 600. I’m stumped because it throws 0 codes other than those 2. I do hear the turbo spooling and air whistling when getting on the gas. I’ve since flashed back to stock and it doesn’t die at startup anymore. Any help would be appreciated.

Heres a datalog when I got on the highway after the failed cold starts: https://datazap.me/u/mannie92/4th-ge...22-23-24-25-26

From a MHD private message, and i also read it on forums (you can google "n54 max iat"). On timing tables, timings are pulled from 140°F IAT.

Finally got my MHD stuff going. I have been getting a 29E0, 29E1 code. Car is a 2008 335i n54, bone stock except for the BMS dual cone intake. I just replaced the bank 1 o2, spark plugs and i swapped the coils for bank 1 and 2. I have also performed the smoke test. I am super new to datalogging so please let me know what sticks out or if i didn't log something that was needed. Thanks!

Your STFT's are pretty high indicating lean conditions. You could have a vacuum leak somewhere

Thanks. I already did the white smoke test. I guess I’ll do it one more time.

Just refilled the smoke machine and now I have smoke rolling from the boost solenoid. It doesn’t look like a hose is leaking so maybe the solenoid is bad.

Smoke tests don't always work when the vacuum leak is small.
Have you replaced all your vacuum lines with new ones?
If not I would suggest you do so.

Faulty boost solenoids will not cause high fuel trims

About half of the lines were replaced by the dealer. I'll finish up the last of them. I went to the store but they didn't have any 3.5mm so i will order some.

Here is the Boost solenoid. I'm pretty sure it should not be leaking from the black square piece since the other solenoid was not leaking at all.

Your right it should not be leaking like that, just replace both of them it and re-log

Your still running slightly lean but it looks better, what changes did you make?

Also make sure to log WGDC

No changes to the car. I just changed some of the items being monitored in MHD. I'll grab the boost solenoids and vacuum hose because i am pretty sure they shouldn't be losing air like the video shows.
