The dude blew me off today. I'm gonna try to hit him up tomorrow. I don't know if any of you have driven the M4 yet. It was nice. But, it wasn't OMMFG faster. It actually doesn't even feel as fast as the Corvette. Plus, the synthesized sound coming through the speakers at WOT is a joke compared to the stock sound of a 335is. I can't believe BMW would even do such a retarded thing. Whatever...

They will not line up perfectly with the steering wheel. If you want it right do m3 Steering wheel + m3 paddles. Really nice.

WTF is it with people???
I meet up with the dude that has the new M4. We were going to head up to "the spot" where we could line up side x side. I pull up with my GoPro already attached to my 335is. And, I had another one with a suction mount sitting on my passenger seat - for him to put on his car so we get that nice NHRA view. So, the dude says: "What's up with the cameras, Man?" I give him the whole story and tell him I want to post it on YouTube - since there are a bunch of people on the BMW Forums that want to know the outcome as well. The guy freaks out and starts mumbling something under his breath - then hops in his car and takes off. I sent him a text asking him WTF that was all about and haven't heard back from him yet. Did he think I was gonna sandbag him or something? Sorry, guys/girls. I guess I will just try to hook up with someone else then. I hear someone else at the regular In-N-Out meetings has a Mineral Grey M4 with paper plates. Perhaps they want to run - film or no film.

They are ETA-BETA Ceramic with real CF inserts. Imported from Germany. Not something you see here - which is why I got them. Plus, they are AW. I guess the guy thought I was going to spank him and then post up how slow his new M4 was or something. IDK

I changed my wheel and paddles over to M3. It is not plug-n-play. The paddles need some resistors wired in. As I was waiting for the resistors, I installed the M3 steering wheel. My LCI paddles did fit in the wheel, but not perfect. You could really only tell by looking from below. Threw the resistors in the paddles about a month after, been working great ever since.

Plenty of pros and cons. 6-Speed auto was garbage. 75mph with the top off was painful. Lots of things to weigh. Don't know if the Z06 will be any better in that regard. I mean, you can EASILY boost a C7 to 700HP for only $6K. Something to consider. Still waiting for the Lexus RC-F to come out too. I want to at least test drive it. Although, I don't think I could ever live with that front grill. Aftermarket? I test drove both M4 in 6M and 7DCT. DCT was much better. The 6M had that same lag the 335is does when engaging the clutch. I just have a big problem with the price. A new cabrio is going to run me $90K We have another BMW "Un4getable" Experience coming here Thursday. So, I hope to drive the Audi RS5. I just wish they made a hardtop convertible instead. I have no interest in a ragtop.

I say go for a test drive in a 2012+ GT-R. The later 2012-2015 GT-R's are smoother and quieter. No reliability concerns with the transmission. 0-60 in under 3 seconds every time.
Good stereo. Comfortable seats. Nice trunk space. Back seats. Great outward vision. I have owned many cars over the years in the 60-120k price range and the GT-R is HANDS down my favorite. If you love your 335is you will also love the GT-R. Trust me. I test drove a new M4 and I think the interior is plasticy and cheap looking. When I pushed on the console plastics it started to creak loudly. The car has no traction. :\ I prefer the 335is with a tune and PSS's over the M3. No traction is no fun. IMHO The Z06 on the other hand is going to be a great car. More traction issues but still a great car. |

currently there are no options for an aftermarket replacement over our stock paddles. if you tried taking off the paddles, they are a completely different design compared to the M3 paddles |

Crazy question, is it possible to put a hitch on the IS? I dont feel like messing with a roof rack due to the noise etc... I would rather just plug in my bike carrier and go but haven't been able to find much via search. Much appreciated.
Too bad on the M4 race not working out. I was looking forward to seeing how it went down. Side note, I just threw a Cobb tune (stage 1 aggressive) on the car. Seems a little quicker but nothing crazy. I need to get some downpipes! |

BMW actually makes a bike carrier. I asked my dealer about it since I saw they were being discontinued and were being offered at 1/2 off. They said they have never installed one because of the price and the modification that needed to be done on the bumper. Basically, they have to drill out spots on the rear beam and then add pop-off covers to both sides of the rear facia. Install was something like $1,500.00 alone.
