Falkens have known to be on the louder side of tires. Still not as loud as Kumhos are though. No matter what you do, stay away from Kumhos if you want comfort. Although they do ride fine, they are VERY loud.

to be honest, i noticed most of the UHP tires (Falken FK452, Kumho Ecsta SPT, General UHP, basically tires in this range) are all fairly loud. The good thing though is that they have plenty of tread so you can run on them for a WHILE.

Recommendations, hmmm. PS2 and Goodyear GSD3 are GREAT tires, but they are on the expensive side. T1R's are a bit cheaper, but IMO, they drive like shiet. Super soft sidewalls, but they do ride great and are quiet.

If anything, i think you should check out the Nitto Invos (and im not just saying that because they let me test out a set of NT05). They ride very well are not noisy at all. My girlfriend had T1R's and she never believed me when i said tires play a huge role. When she got her new rims and Nitto Invos, she was blown away. Right when she drove it, she noticed just how much better it corners because it doesnt have the super soft sidewalls of her old T1R. They are also very quiet and great in the rain. Price shouldnt be an issue too. The invos are not as expensive as its counterparts (PS2, etc etc) but imo, they drive just as well.

back in the days I was running on Falken Azenis (17inch).. nice grippy tires, but loud and wasn't too good in wet conditions.. then i was running on Falken Ziex (18in).. tires weren't too bad.. better in the rain compared to the grippier Azenis, but once again, too loud..

Then I previously had the Nitto 555s (19in).. great in dry conditions.. handles nicely, but loud and not very great under wet conditions.. now i'm running on the INVOs and by far the better tires i've experienced.. handles well both in dry and wet conditions and way quieter than the 555s..
