oh ya i forgot. i hate people who think lifting your max for 1 rep is a workout....id rather do lower weight, actually doing the excercise properly, then doing it half assed with your back bent and looking like a fool.

thanks for the advice guys... hehe.. pretty much im going for it to really see what its about... i have a couple friends over there in the same position so ill see how they like it... i have nothing to lose .. wouldnt hurt =)

It depends on what they are trying to achieve. If you are trying to bulk up 1 rep at an extreme weight will do it. If you are trying to tone you need low weight with high reps.

actually as of this weekend i started doing reps of 25 for 4 sets . so for chest i did 4-5 exersises and each one had 4 sets with 25 reps for each one. so total reps for chest was 500 and for back was 425. today its shoulders so i should be anywhere from 400-450 reps

25 seems a bit high.. if you can lift than many.. you should up the weight... but IDK... i dunno wtf im talking about

I usually do 25-30 reps with 3 sets... I'm trying to tone up tho I'm a weakling.. I can't do much weight.

eh i dont agree with that. maybe if you took a shot of juice before you did one rep, it would work, but if i did one rep of my max weight which say would be 185lbs on the bench, i would not bulk up more than doing 155lbs for 10 reps

1 rep probably isn't doing much... 2-3 is actually fine for bulking up. But you aren't doing just one set that won't do crap for you.
