I used a combination of this And this It really isn't difficult. Just make sure you take your time and note where everything goes. I made a list as I went. It's very important to soak the glow plugs you are removing first to try and ensure they don't sieze then put anti sieze on the new ones. The controller is a bit tricky to get at and the plugs are stiff. Just be patient with it and good luck |

This is a little video I took when I had the beast. That V8 sound...... I just floored it everywhere and then stood shaking my head at the petrol pump..... Last edited by Calluhan; 10-30-2016 at 06:35 AM.. |

I'm hoping the fuel thing doesn't get that tedious. Especially as it's also my daily drive. Currently getting 4mpg less than I was in the 335, so not too bad.
Just need to stop pottering around in it. |

Thank you Sir! It didn't take too long to do as I had previously had a go in carbon. Now I've sussed how to cut correctly I'm going to do it all again with some better quality vinyl. But even this attempt looks decent enough. Give it a go mate!

Front two wheels tackled first as they had the worst curbing
Curbing filed back and gouges filled Then black base coat applied after gaining a good key with a scouring pad. These will have the metallic black applied tomorrow and I'll be tackling the two rear wheels. Then it's time for the black chrome effect. More pics to come.... Painted two wheels with the black metallic:
I was concerned that they looked bronze! Turns out it was the metal flake reflecting the garage light! They actually look like this Last edited by Calluhan; 12-11-2016 at 04:38 AM.. |

Ill spray the other two wheels with the metallic once the satin black enamel has dried by the morning.
My chrome paint should arrive tomorrow so they'll get a thin coat or two of that. Once that dried it will be 3 coats of lacquer. 2 days to cure under a heater then tyre time..... |

Loving the colour direction you have taken on your wheels. I am thinking a dark silver next spring to give a new look and fresh lift.
