I don't push the gas, I just tried to drive very quietly and burn the whole tank, but the result is the same, my max economy is 14mpg
Are you getting 14 mpg or 14 l/100km?

Both are pretty bad.

What size tires are you running? Are they properly inflated? Are your O2 sensors working? Is your parking brake stuck? Are the brakes dragging?

Have you confirmed this average by doing a calculation?

Yeah getting 14mpg.

tire size: front 225/40/r18
Rear 255/35/r18

I didn't check O2 sensors (actually don't know how to checks them, if you know please suggest) but at all, I don't have any error in INPA.

Parking break not stacked, car runs very smoothly.

I tried to reset mpg then burn 2 tanks of fuel.

Also, I tried fill-up tank run 100km and refill the tank again 19 litters missing.

Is it possible that the O2 sensor does not work properly but I don't get any errors?

So I found some guides how to test O2 sensor. I will test it tomorrow. Hope O2 will be trouble maker

Got the 3SIM installed this past weekend on my wife's e91. I initially flashed first and it felt good, but after the install with new disas.....man, the car pulls hard as hell. Even on her auto compared to my 6MT you can tell when the disas are activated.

I also serviced the transmission fluid with maxlife and man, it's a joy to drive.

I also want to say that doing both manifolds on both of my e91s, it is 1000x easier to do on 2007+ n52s.

The 2006 models are a pain in the ass for real. Notable nuisances are:

1.) Distribution box for the heated elements and power line from distribution box. 4 connectors in the hardest, tightest, and farthest spot to disconnect.

2.) External PCV system and all the hoses involved.

3.) Oil return line. OMFG. That was the worst. So hard to remove, finally breaks since it's so easy to break, then you'll have a hard time removing it from the oil pan line even with the manifold out as the fitting is the most stupid design ever. It's even hard to install a brand new oil return line as it's so tight in there and the hose is so short and it has to be routed exactly how it was removed or else the tension from the other wires can pull it off or cause tension on other wires.

2007 and up don't have any of that nonsense above.

Crap. Can't find any problem regarding O2. Tested O2 sensors using INPA, both before Catt and after catt sensors behave similarly values increase and decrease synchronously.

Don't have an error code. Can't understand why I only getting 14mpg :@

What type of driving do you do?

Is it all city? DO you let the car idle for a long period of time to warm up? DO you drag race between every stop light?

If you take your foot off of the gas pedal while driving, does the car lose speed rapidly (brakes dragging)?

14 MPG is terrible.... there must be a reason.

Actually I drive car aggressively. But last 2 tank burns I drive like grandpa to check my mpg, also I tried to fill up tank, drive 100km and refill tank.

nope when I release gas pedal car resume rolling without any problem, parking or other pads not stacked.

Yeah it’s really terrible I don’t understand what is the reason.

Try this,

On a flat dry road, run the car up to about 70 MPH set the cruise control and reset your trip/fuel meter. With properly inflated tires, you should average between 29-32 MPG. Need to run for a few minutes to get a good reading.

If you get 30+ at 70, probably nothing wrong with the car. Driver needs training.

For reference, with my current 4.5 mile commute to work I'm averaging about 17 MPG. Average speed is 25 MPH. I have a heavy foot and 300+HP.

I might as well ask here where the experts are:
Does 328i manifold (regular single stage) on a 325i do anything? That is can 325i benefit at all from a 328i manifold? Or are they the same and tuning is the difference in power between the two N52 versions?

So I installed the 3 stage manifold on my car: E60 528i. Before I started any coding I used the bimmergeeks tool to check the DISAs installed in the car and they both work fine. I then flashed the MSV80 RSA delete on my car afterward, my fuel pumps continued to prime (I thought this was odd) despite the dialogue box saying the tune went fine. I continued and flashed both of the available bimmerlabs stock tunes for the car each result being:
During the tune the fuel pumps shut off but would stay on after the tune is complete and as long as accessory power is on.
Also the starter motor would crank but no start...
I checked INPA for codes and have the following:
  • ZGM 93BA 61
  • SIM/SGM 940D 20
  • SZL C9A8 64
  • EKP CED4 68
  • RDC D13E 60
  • And 10 Errors on the DSC
Nathans BMW Workshop on Youtube is the only person I know of to attempt this swap but he goofed up some other things and had a faulty ecu flash initially. Eventually was held ransom by the "BMW Doctor" guy (who is a total sleeze-ball, even claiming to have made INPA in his comments).
I tried cycling the key and disconnecting the battery to no avail...

Well if you followed Nathan's diy video on this job and or the 300IQ doctor's advice, it should come as no surprise it didn't work out. In all seriousness though, I recorded a video of me flashing my own car and the fuel pump did quit making noise after I flashed the proper tune on it. Which files did you flash after the RSA? I suppose you have both a 530i mafless and 530i. Could you try with the other file?

It almost seems as if the tune itself didn't properly flash which is why it doesn't start up

Thanks for the quick response Will.
I flashed the e60 ZB:
  • 7633348
  • 7633344
I even tried ZB 8609170 from an e70 x5 3.0si using another project (because it has the dig-stick shifter)...

The running fuel pump after the flash is a sign that the DME did not like the file and it's in "recovery mode". You need to follow the instructions provided by Bimmmerlabs and have a proper cable with a good installation of the BMW tools on a windows based PC.

I am using the Bimmergeeks protool cable, I was using Mike's easy BMW tools. I guess I'll retry with only the Bimmerlabs software.
What other info should I look to in regards to recovery mode for the DME?

I think I understand my problem, It is in the Bimmertools supplied version of WINKFP.
Here is a screenshot of EDIABAS\ECU (left) and NCSEXPER\SGDAT (right)
View post on imgur.com

notice how the IPO file for 08MSV80 isn't there.
The E60 daten file I downloaded separate from bimmergeeks also does NOT have an MSV80 IPO. What's going on here?

EDIT: MSV80 Batch Scripts use 12MSV80 PRG and IPO FILES, look to the next page of this thread for a link to 1addicts and a screencap of the batch using it

Why don't you just search for the Latest DATEN thread, download the latest then update it via coding tool and in winkfp?
