Its the black M-Sport parked beside Geko's silver Schnitzer and being blocked in by Helens Porsche.

You can only see the bonnet, but it still reminds me that its a nice looking car even standard

Had a great time, thanks to Gav for all his hard work!

One of the best drives I have ever had running through the single track road, very enjoyable!

Top weather and great company, couldn't ask for more!

Good pics Paul.

That woman on the horse had a Cairn terrier with her as well - brilliant way of exercising the dog.

Chris - good work on the dry-stone walling btw. Couldn't work out why we'd stopped at first.

Can't believe Carlos hasn't seen 'the DXB' yet.

Matt - Think you did well considering you'd had a hectic time before you came. Hope all is well.

Just got home. Big to Gav and Ali for organising an excellent day. Couldn't (and wouldn't) fault, the meeting point, the drive, the half way stopping point at the Cow and Calf, the lunch, the single track road back, and another stopping point for folks who weren't staying, dinner, after dinner bevvying place, and choice of hotel - but most of all, choice of companions.

Great to see you all.

Have misplaced my camera, so no piccies.

Wink Great people!

This is just to say thanks to everyone at the meet yesterday for making it a great & friendly experience.

A big to Gav & Alison for organising the event in its entirety. It's never easy trying to accommodate everyone, there's a lot of background work to do & a lot of people to talk to before something like this can put a smile on our faces, but I think you did that very well indeed. Nice work, again.

Also, a really massive 'thank-you' to Tony for taking a lot of time & making a huge effort in taking part in the meet at all, for driving the additional 150-odd miles from London in order to collect & take me to the meet, & for putting a big smile on my face, as a result of experiencing your unbelievable new electronic Bilstein coilovers- fantastic!
You made a really big effort to get me there & for making sure I was looked after properly, so thanks very much my friend.
Also, some excellent, confidence-instilling driving Tony under some difficult conditions- well done.

It was a pleasure to meet the 'usual suspects' again-
Paul (- Paul -): would be nice to sort out a northern 'pod' day
Will (willhollin): you never fail to make me laugh, Williamina- nice to see you again & thanks for making the effort
Floyd (SoYank): good to see you again & your beautiful LSD-equipped 335i
Alan (AlanQS): thanks for the lift back home Alan- funny how time passes so quickly when we're talking & good luck for the futute BTW
Chris (CD): it was great to see you & your beautiful car again, & your partner
Helen (beemerbird) & Steve: a pleasure to meet you both again- shame you couldn't have stayed for the curry
Nicola (Porscha!): it was good to see you again & I hope you have fewer problems next time

It was good to meet some newer meet members as well- Tim (TMP), Simon (Geckorazer), HarpalB & Onejohnsheridan- hope you all had a great day.

Thanks to Matt (RagingKileak) for keeping our end of the table entertained at lunch- you may well have 'rage issues', but you also know how to put a smile on our faces- Alan & yourself would make a fine E90Post stand-up comedy act.
I think your partner is an 'understanding' woman.

Also thanks to Paul (pjs) for the lift back to the hotel after the meal- cheers.

BTW- I'm devoid of shots unfortunately, but Tony has well over 8GB of photos I took with his DSLR in the car, which I'm sure he'll 'sort out' over the next few days.

Thanks to everyone for yesterday, it was a great day and a great drive.

Well done Gav for the planning and organising. The route is now saved as my new fave dales run in the satnav.

Thanks too to all the courteous drivers who stopped to let all the convoy through.

Apologies to Paul & Will as I managed to lose you right at the last minute on the way to the hotel. I had a search round but only managed to pick up Floyd & Alan (who looked like they were well on their way to finding it anyway).

Sorry Helen if I held you up a little. I did try to get my foot down, honest.

It's days like this that make me feel more that these cars are special.

Glad you've come on James as I think others should know. As you know, I was following you for much of the route and firstly I enjoyed the way you drive your car ie. really chucking it through the bends and secondly your car is quick.......really picks up very well and it went through those bends very nicely thank you. Lovely D3 you have there.

On another note. On the way to the Cow & Calf Tony and I got separated from the others due to heavy traffic and we ended up in tandem. I knew Tony had modded his car in various guises but it's not until you 'see it for yourself' that you appreciate what he's done. Tony that is one very quick E92 and it handles beautifully. Oh and he drives it properly as well.
