Yes, Sparkling Graphite does have a slightly purple hue to it. Normally you can't see it unless it's in the sunlight but I guess the flash was enough to show it.

Jumped on it on the onramp and was doing 80 before hitting the freeway. Handles better than I imagined as well. No pics yet as it hasn't stopped raining in Seattle for about a month. Hopefully will get a break tomorrow and will put some up.
Most of my drive was stop and go as well but once I got on the 205 bridge over the Columbia river I was able to zip between some traffic. It's just amazing that no matter what gear you are in, press the pedal and the power is just there.

We had a small break in the rain when I took those pics. After I did, it started raining again and it's been nonstop since.

Hello all. I could not resist washing the car and taking some pictures as the weather was too nice. Now, back to family and football. Happy T-Day!

This list is suddenly so quiet, so I guess everyone is enjoying their ultimate driving machine

Bluetooth works great and I personally feel this is one of the best features in the car, but the problem is - my phone's battery drains down completely everytime I use it with BT (just enabled BT and no calls). I have to keep charging the phone..Anyone had similar exp.? Any workaround?

Thanks,

Bluetooth rapidly drains the battery. I bought a car charger just for this reason. What's nice is that you can leave the charger plugged in in the armrest with the cover closed.

I'm at 260 but will add at least 320 this weekend going up to Seattle and back.

I've found it's really hard to keep it under the 4500 rpm limit.

Anyone else notice how long it takes the oil to warm up? I drive 10 miles to work (takes me about 15-20 minutes) and my oil isn't at 220 until I'm right around the corner from work.

My CA told me to drive it like it should be driven before I took her off the lot, no soft break-in for my car. I did the same w/my WRX and she's as strong as the day I got her, never had any engine problems even w/turbo upgrades and now its back to stock and it feels as good as the day i bought it.

The 335 makes 90mph seem like 65mph, I need some sort of warning light so I won't get cought by the CHP.

My CA specifically told me about the break in and to follow it. Amazing how everyone is different. I'm going to follow the breakin procedure simply because the "hard break in" method has no real life longevity testing. It "may" produce more power in the beginning but what about 60k miles down the road? Will engines that are broken in the hard way still have tight tolerances, low blowby gasses, low oil consumption, etc??

As for a warning light, you can setup an audible beeping in iDrive for overspeed so if you go faster then x speed it will beep at you.

I think I'm going to have to set it up myself as well. Just today I was cruising at lunch, got on the freeway and gave it some gas to pass a Dodge Stealth and next thing I knew I was doin 100. This thing is just crazy fast.

Thanks,
I'll check it out tonight. I saw it earlier when I was looking at all of the settings but can't recall right now where it was.

What do you mean by "rolling down windows with CA?"

Here are the instructions for iDrive.
I set mine up at 65 at first, but it kept on going off. So now I moved it up to 85.

I don't think you can open the windows with CA, only with the key fob. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

Thanks Tibbz..I read in one of the forums that some people were able to open windows and fold their side mirrors using CA - just keeping your finger or thumb on the door handle, but looks like thats not the case.

Do I need to press "Unlock" on Key fob to open the windows? I tried for few secs and that doesnot work either...

I've read that same post but I think you may have misread it. They can CLOSE their windows and fold the mirrors with CA by holding the ridges. I however have been unable to get the mirrors to fold with this method but the windows do roll up and the doors lock.
