Okay here's my thought on the debadging. It's just me and my little bity brain so take it for what it's worth. Not much.
If I pulled up behind you I would think you bought a 328 because you couldn't quite afford a 335, but you wanted people to think it was a 335 so you simply removed the badge. Now you could've put a 335 badge on your 328, but that would've made you too much of a poseur and your buddies would never let you live it down, so you just decided to take the 328 badge off saying you liked the clean look, and were leaving it to everyone to figure it out. I would also think you may have gotten rear ended and hadn't gotten the badges back on yet. Those are my thoughts. Not trying to be argumentative or insulting, it's just what I think. |

Debadging is a funny thing. I love the guy with the dual exhaust 328i. He so should badge it a 335i...
If worrying about debadging a 335 will make people think you have a 328 and that is disturbing to you than whatever...hey to each his own. Personally, I can careless what engine people think I have. They'll soon find out when the light turns green.

I think it's more than a coincidence that almost every single person with a fuel pump issue on this board has some sort of piggy back system like Procede. I don't dare utter a word of that on a more public thread for fear of death, but I bet there's something to it....

You guys see this from Car and Driver?
http://www.caranddriver.com/features...35i-coupe.html Between the two, you’d expect the 335i to be more supple over bumps, have vastly more interior room, and be as refined as a Lexus. But what floored us was that the 335i’s best lap (3:10.5) was 1.2 seconds quicker than the M coupe’s. It’s a case of neutral handling over outright speed. Whereas the M coupe had understeer at turn-in that switched to oversteer at the exit, the 335i was nearly perfectly balanced everywhere and made up most of its time in the region between the braking zone and turn apex. The 335i does everything remarkably well, which is why many of us at Car and Driver think it’s the best all-around car in the world. http://www.caranddriver.com/features...-lap-2007.html |

YAHOOOOO! She's on the move. Can't post pictures from work, but I'll keep you posted. Per the new schedule, she's probably off to a 2nd Baltimore stop, but at least she's moving.

If you're going through SC, I think it is 2-days by train to the VPC, then 2-7 days at the VPC, then 2-3 days to your dealer. I'm just guessing based on other posts on this site. You're in San Antonio and I'm in Austin, so we'll probably get ours around the same time. (our cars might even get on the same truck!). My best guess is my car will be at my dealer July 9 - 15, but this is an educated guess at best. We also have the July 4th holiday messing everything up.

She's backing into a dock now not far from the first dock. Couldn't they have just driven the cars over to the other dock! I mean come on, this is delaying the trip to SC by a day!

They go through an inspection and clean up at the VPC so it isn't immediate. Most estimates I have been able to make by looking at other east coast tracking threads is somewhere between 3-10 days. A big window but that seems to be the situation. I would plan on a week after arriving at SC.
