Catalytic Converter replacement...Honda!
Hey, I know this is way off topic...
Anyone know of a cheap shop to get a catalytic converter replaced on a 2002 Honda Accord? My GF had a CEL and the code says the cat is bad. The car ain't worth a whole lot and she's poor so we don't want to spend the $600 the mechanic we took it to quoted. Thanks for any help or advice. Jason |

Jason,
Will be tough since its emissions related. There are some honda junk yards in the area. You might be able to get a used cat there. You can most likely find a whole exhaust from a wrecked accord since they are popular cars. Search for honda junk yards on google maps. Ive been to one here just cant remember where it is exactly and got a wiring harness for my wifes honda covic |

snapped a quick pic this morning. pleased with the current state. i don't think there's anymore cosmetics to do. suggestions welcome, though. next up is intake/filter and tune. then, maybe slotted brake rotors & new pads.
