National Speed is in Wilmington, NC, so factor in some humidity and temp as well, since tetsuo is dynoing in the PNW where it's likely cooler and less humidity depending on the day. I hate dyno sheets without any environmental data, it's such a huge part of the picture.

What I'd rather know is what the car makes for a given relative humidity and temp rather than let the dyno correct that out, but that's a habit of mine since I was programming ECU's for two-stroke GP Motorcycles. Very helpful back in carburated days when it impacted jetting directly. Knowing how much power you really made let me create a gearing offset table for circuits based on corrected air density. I got used to looking at it this way and really don't like to look at "corrected" results ever since.

in my case the SAE numbers were way less than uncorrected. In my other car it made little difference - personally I find them really consistent, and if comparing STD to STD or SAE to SAE, they're pretty repeatable.
Dynos are just a tool - there's no use in comparing different machines. It matters not if a Dynojet shows a higher number or a lower number than another brand - it's a tool that's useful for tuning. If you see a gain of 10% on the same machine, then you have made progress. if you just want a dyno number, well you can make the machine tell you anything you want (which goes for basically any dyno out there). |

BMS PBX
I went through the entire thread and only found a couple dynos that gave some info on the BMS Power Box. What is the final verdict on it? The couple of dynos that I did see where stock was compared to the PBX, showed some improvement, but I have just heard so many different opinions that I do not know what to think.
I wish I could just fork out the money and jump on an AA Tune, or any other tune that is constantly being endorsed on here, but I'm a student... So I need something that gives me a little more oomph, without emptying my bank account! So that is why I am considering this. Also, I've heard it helps with the throttle response! Anyone have any dyno results that shed a little more light on the PBX? Any info would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks for the quick reply! Judging by most forums, AA Tune is the most popular choice amongst everyone?

Hahaha I see this quite often, but no one really ever elaborates any further on it! What is it about this Power Box that makes people look like this? -->

edit: its not a real tune, it gives the same effect as if you were stepping on your gas pedal harder

So would you consider it to be more along the lines of an accelerator re-mapping tool as opposed to an actual tune?
