I had to get these 351s for winters. I was going to go with 219 or even 270 but these really look amazing. Thinking about powder coating before the winter hits, might go Gunmetal and see how they look.

Are you Ontario, California or Ontario, Canada? Plenty of good BMW shops in California near Ontario.

Got my parts back from the painter last night and installed the side skirts. I should have the Msport rear bumper on by the weekend.
Here's a side skirt comparison between the SE skirts and the Mtech/Msport: For anyone else installing these, install the clips on the car first and pop the side skirts into them. I struggled for over an hour trying to get them clipped in attached to the skirt, which is how I always see it done. I'm really happy with the outcome. Subtle, yet a huge improvement. |

What springs are you running on that? Ride height looks spot on!

Replaced the shocks & struts with Koni Special Active. New stock springs in front, reused the rear springs.
Also got some new shoes. Apex ARC-8 17x9 ET30 square setup in bronze. Michelin PS4s tires in 245/40. Ride is significantly improved over the stock setup with 285's and Continental run-flats. I think each wheel/tire combo is ~10 pounds lighter than stock as well... it's significant. View post on imgur.com View post on imgur.com These are the best pics I can get at the moment... Imelda is currently trying to drown us. |

How hard was it to take apart the lights, these have permaseal right? I'm thinking of just sending it out to Lightwerkz to do a LED retrofit cuz I'm afraid of wrecking the lights.

It was a pain. Yes it's permaseal, so you can't soften it with heat. The method I used was the cut the top part of the black plastic C-channel off using a hot-knife, and then sliced through the permaseal between the lense and headlight body with a sharp knife. You'll spend more time cleaning the permaseal off of the lens and channel than anything else. Then just reseal with black silicone. I read not to use it because it can leave a residue, but after a couple days of foggy headlights from off-gassing, they have been fog-free ever since with no visible residue. I'll be starting a build thread VERY soon so I'll post pics and info there. |

Yeah I'm sold. I like how it's darker, but the wheels is still visible. That was my only issue with the black. The wheel might get lost in the darkness.

I'm not really a big fan of black wheels. But my ZCP wheels were a little curbed up and I felt it a little stale so I said... why not? I can always redo them back to Silver. I prefer gloss black to matte black.
