Had it washed on the way to work this morning and wiped down the interior. Fun times.

Have been wanting selective yellow fogs for some time and finally decided to do it. Pulled the fogs out this am and cleaned them up. All washed up they looked like hell, totally sand blasted.

I started with 360 grit, then 500 wet, then 800 wet, then 1200 wet, then 2000 wet.

After they pitting was all gone, I sprayed the prepped lenses with an adhesion promoter coat and then coated them with 6 layers of yellow metalcast, followed by 4 coats of a ceramic clear.

After heat curing them I applied headlight protection film to them and re-installed my 3000 lumen LED H11's.

Voila!

This will be a good test before I swap over to the M front bumper. Will likely do the same to those fogs of this works out.

Here are the night pics. With angel eyes and fogs only, then with headlights & fogs.

Getting the actuators off to get them clean up tomorrow at work.
Now is a great time to be thinking about having the hot side and your headers ceramic coated. It makes a HUGE difference with spool.

I installed my CF skirts extensions and rear cannard like things on Saturday. This pic is before I washed it, it's covered in pollen even though I garage it.

Pics after a quick wash and wax. Joining the Shiny AF club was never so easy.

he is probably referring to the hubs of the rotors being painted, to prevent surface rust.

Where did you source the Stoptech parts from?

No problem, did it on my Audi a couple years back and it made a massive difference in the under hood temps as well. I did turbo hot sides, EM's & the DP's inside and out. The throttle response was beautifully crisp after that and it was nice to open the hood and not have a column of super heated air blast you in the face.

The IAT's dropped as well, so more power when fully heat soaked.

Given how quick the turbos spool I can't imagine it will help much on this platform. Just saying. No one complains about spool with stock frames. That being said it can't hurt but I have yet to see anyone show an increase with a coated turbo on this platform.

More heat in the exhaust means more velocity. Look at the turbo charged race engines and they are all coated. This is a well established gain.

Even IF the only gain is the lower IAT's and reduced under hood temps, it's worth it.

We spooled 430 rpm faster, dyno'd and logged. Put 3% more under the curve as a result. Peak power is nice when you're doing glory pulls on a dyno, but I'll take power low under the curve any day.
