Looks excellent Socket. I hope you gave the engine bay a clean up while you had the bumper off. It looks like you have been driving in a rally on dirt roads.

Lip looks good.

I just don't know why they don't have the sides sit flush with the bar.

That front logo would drive me crazy. I hate when they do that.

How do you attach the lip to the bar? Did you have to drill holes or can you use factory screws and holes?

I drilled through with my lip and put fat bolts to keep it on.

Thanks Coupes.... yeh engine bay is still full of dust from Tassie cruise. John and I took a short cut through 40 km of dirt that and on the way to Pirt Arthur. Most of that dust is still under the hood lol. When I get a hour to two to spare I’ll clean it up

Lip is bolted to the front lip using the bolts supplied with the kit. OEM holes no good so had to drill my own. I have it bolted down in 7 spots across the length of the lip effectively making the front bar and lip one piece.

Spgry copped a peppering in last nights hail storm and copped some light hail damage across the bonnet. Lucky the roof is vinyl wrapped else it would be dented too... At least the bonnet can be replaced. If the roof had been dented I would probably have had to part it out and write the car off

Sorry to hear Phil. If paint has not cracked and is only dented, easily repairable without replacing unless you have many small dents around it. My new work vehicle and my old clk got wrecked from hail as well last night and have claimed them both for inspection today. Fingers crossed that they will write them off.

That sucks, a lot of people in the eastern suburbs got damaged. We were lucky in the north. My STi was almost written off in 2011, the aluminium bonnet could not be repaired something to do with memory in metal compared to aluminium when doing pdr so they replaced it.

Hey Phil can your old lip be repaired with fiber glass? I'm keen to give it a go as a holiday project over xmas break if you want to get rid of it. Ive got the M3 replica bar.
