First day off work and put it to good use, fitting a set of motor hardware studs and race nuts.... the old ones were looking pretty tired after the wheels have been on and off a heap of times 82 mm studs and gun metal nuts..

Gave the wheels and calipers a good clean while the wheels are off..
Came up nice

Anyone thinking of doing this, its super easy and makes changing the wheels much simpler... a dab of locktite on the stud, screw em and you're good to go...

Which kit did you buy I might do this.

Do the nuts turn to crap if you don’t take them off all the time?

Worse if you keep taking them on and off all the time as the coating on the edge of the nuts gets damaged and they rust. As DrJ said a dab of AS works well.

78mm Black Bullet Nose Stud Kit 12x1.5 - 5 Lug plus MSH race nuts in gunmetal silver or black

Personally I like the 82 mm studs because im running 10 mm spacers and need the extra length

Beautiful car. I see your passion for platform Turbo has IWG? Some issues with boost creep? Like CES motorsport? Can you compare EFR turbo to garrett, simillar size? I mean transient response.

Thanks so much. IWG works fine and saves precious space not having to run pipework for an EWG. No boost creep or other problems we can tell. Turbo kicks in at 2500 rpm so is not as responsive as OEM twins but very little lag compared to the larger turbos. Still need to finish the tune before we can do a full review of the 7670

For some reason when I went to fit the oem vents, the honeycomb mesh piece would clash on the 'metal flap' splashshield on the M3 rep bonnet.

Obviously our bonnets must be different even though theyre from the same supplier.

yeh happens to mine as well mate... you need to lever it slightly with a crow bar or similar to push it down far enough to get the back corner tab in place. When you release the pressure the hood brace pushes up and holds the insert in place (I didn't show this in the DIY as may not be needed on some hoods)

P, when will you do a review of the kw v3s? I am just trying to gather some opinions before pulling the trigger.

KW3s are excellent mate, fully adjustable, greatly improved the handling and ride over my old set up.

Main reason I switched was because my ride was simply too low for daily driving and the KW3s allowed us to set the ride height just right. They settled down 10mm after a day or two (pic below just after we installed) and then I did some minor adjustments to dial all the settings in, followed by an alignment before we headed off to Tassie. 2000 km around the apple Isle and the car handled like it was on rails.

They are pretty pricey but not as expense as some other brands. If you can pick them up for under $2500 they are great value

No regrets here mate

Looking good! Just wondering how you're finding Yokohamas? How many km's are you squeezing out of them?

Thanks Gro, much appreciated

Personally I like the Yokos. So much so i'm on my second set

I give them a pretty hard time, with an aggressive camber so only getting 20K out them

If you ask around everyone has their personal preferences when it comes to tires
But I think everyone would agree on one thing... don't cheap out on your rubber
