Another F31 m-sport on BaT. A 2017 with 25k. Looks like it has rear seat heat, HK sound, heated wheel, CA. Not seeing the track handling package.

No I think it is cool to post neat wagons. I was more asking why buyers pay $10k more than they have to for otherwise obtainable wagons. Good e91’s are hard to come by, so I understand why people pay the BAT tax for those!!

This popped up in my Craigslist searches: 152k-mile 2010 328i (RWD, I think?) wagon 6MT for $12.5k. Non-sport package, silver over beige interior. Rear bumper definitely needs to be repainted (or swapped for an M Sport bumper). Seems like a steep asking price. |

Overpriced for 152k. Especially for non-sport/non-msport/beige.
Also, dude doesn't know what he's talking about "2010 was the FINAL year that BMW produced manual station-wagons" Nice that it isn't just getting scrapped though. Could go another 100k easy, the number of 6MT RWDs is only going down.

Also, maybe I'm fucked in the head, but I really like those OEM wheels. Does anyone know what style # they are? |

Looks like they're Style 185s. Thought they were 162s (pre-facelift 335i sport package wheels) at first, but apparently not. 162s look more interesting and have some concavity to them. |

Was trying to price the market for a pre-LCI car with 175k. There's one I'm aware of for sale that's pre-LCI for $7,500. I messaged a member here with a similar car he's potentially looking to move and he was so offended by that ballpark that he didn't reply to my PM. Probably a stupid idea to spend near $10k on a BMW that isn't an E30 or 2002 with over 150k on it anyways. I'll find another way to waste my money. I have 2 E91s as-is.

That silver car is rough cosmetically. Given the ownership attitude and east coast location I suspect the underside is not in pristine shape either. Price is very optimistic |

I'm on the hunt for the next project as my E36 was too rusty and I had it scrapped about 6 months ago. I'm considering...
I currently have a 6MT LCI that's around 67k and my slushbox pre-LCI is at 125k. I want something to build and enjoy, take on a few road trips then sell after a year or two of "completing" the build. I worked at a BMW dealership when E46 and E9X / E39 and E60 were in production but have only owned E36s and E9X cars (with an E82 which is just a stubby E92). My unicorn E91 I really like and want to keep basically as it sits, just needs wheels and M3 mirrors to be complete in my eyes. My slushbox E91 is in more of a solid driver category and I don't see much point in modding too much due to the transmission. I think the E61 and E46 both intrigue me the most, since I spent so much time driving them but never owned either. I love projects but am stuck with 2 cars that aren't really optimal for that mindset. What would you all do in my shoes??

With that said, if you're just in it for the love of the game and are okay with losing some money, I'd probably do some sort of oddball swap, maybe a RWD 535d E61? Might be fun. I've never driven an E61, but they're surprisingly light for their size and have some really impressive forged aluminum chassis bits even on the non-M5 cars. |

I often debate keeping my E91 stock as a long term workhorse or doing the full 3 stage manifold conversion, tune and suspension tweak to spice things up a bit. At 115K miles I wager its only halfway through its life... |

I really appreciate the feedback on my 1st world problem!!

E61 is probably the most intriguing. I've never had a 5 and they were revolutionary when they came out. I remember reading the training materials as they started showing up at our dealership and I was blown away by how advanced the car was, no offense to the E39. Quote:
I really agree with finding the needle first, that's what I did with my E91. I bought it then sold my E82 which was a slicktop 6MT M Sport. You'll love your E91 if you mod it. My LCI has coilovers, camber plates, 3IM, Performance Exhaust, software, clutch delay valve delete, and more. The difference between both of my cars is quite noticeable. I think I've narrowed the hunt down to an E46 or E61. E46s are at the bottom of their depreciation curve (unless we see a dip across the board due to COVID19). A few grand in suspension, bumpers, and maintenance won't wreck my wallet. I can be all in for under $10k on an E46 and get most of my money back when I'm ready for the next project. Deals can definitely be had on E61s, especially since I actually want an automatic. Time will tell, but one thing is for sure - I don't belong in this thread anymore

I put those wheels on, which look amazing on the e61 if I don’t say so myself. I also retrofitted Oem lci sport seats as this one came equipped with comfort seats. |
