Just changed the belt, tensioner and idler pulleys. I was expecting it to take an hour, I was done in 15 minutes! The one thing BMW got right...

New Spacers and Car wash

After having 7mm spacers on my Pre-lci XI, I still wasn't happy with car's stance. I then upgraded to these 10mm spacers despite Apex Racing Parts discretion, and boy am I happy I didn't listen.

With 35mm offset / 9.5 width in the rear with stock suspension, my car did not suffer from any rubbing.

I am more satisfied with this stance as well as slight increase in handling!

I moved the 7mm spacers to the front as well so it obtain that aggressive look I have been yearning. Front is also 35mm offset but, 8.5 width.

Lastly, I finally got a car wash after a long month of spring rain.

Enjoy guys and gals!

I want spacers too, I tried to measure and came up with 10 for rear. I must have done something wrong because your wheels are 1.5" wider than mine lol. I guess 15mm it is! I want the look you have, but don't want to worry about rubbing

Just finished installing my 3 stage intake. First time ever working on a car under the hood and it was really easy. Double and triple checked that I plugged everything in and then I forgot the last part.....the MAF plug!!! It started but threw the service engine soon light. Fortunately I am good with computers and had INPA up and running in no time to figure that one out. Cleared the faults and she runs smooth as butter and much quicker than stock.

Na, no vibrations. My spacers are hubcentric. I also made sure I tighten the bolts.

It also depends what the offset of your rims are. Like mine are 35mm; it has a deeper dish or concave as opposed to a rim with 42mm or 58mm. If your rims are flatter, and narrow, then you probably need a bigger spacer.

What kind of rims do you have?

Installed Depo LCI tail lights. Love the new look, and much brighter at night. Reverse lights are brighter too.

You think I can go with a wider spacer, maybe 15 will work?

It's really hard to tell. However, some stock oem rims are 18in, 8in width with 34mm offset. On most forums, people reccomend 15mm spacers. They're flushed to the outer fender, but still have like 3mm left room. I'm basing my knowledge off of this forum here.

http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...=Oem+wheel+rim

15mm on that one member's car looks conservative for me. Perhaps 17-18mm would be ideal. If you do decide to buy spacers, make sure you will be able to return them.

That's the way to go! Did not know they went all the way down to 7" with those. Skinniest HC I found for my other car was 8mm H&R.

I got some generic brand on eBay. It was only like $40 with 2 sets of black bolts. I know know Apex has 3mm and 5mm hubcentric which are really small.

Thanks for the info, I guess I should have said hub centric with lip, where the smallest I found was 8mm. As much as I tried with wheel hangers and all I could not get vibration out with my 5's. So right now I run 8mm HC/lip rears and nothing on front but please let me know if you ever see lip on 6mm or less. Thank you sir.

Na I don't think they have lips for anything under 10mm. There's enough lip room under 10mm. Are you having a hard time mounting your rims?

I got 8's with lip, mounts fine without for the 5's but just can't get rid of the vibration.
