I am trying to find out if Cobb really has to do with the misfires or maybe your injectors were not coded properly after a recall / replacement.

Did you have the injector recall done lately ?

my car did but it was about 30k ago. i had to change plugs when i first got my cobb for stage 1. now to 2+ it looks like plugs again. 12k seems awful fast for plugs again. anyone changed just one or do most of you do all 6 at one time.

quick question- may someone explain to me how to use the cobb ap as a boost gauge?

I dont usually keep it plugged in while driving- but I gave it a try and I dont know if I used the right setting- as theres a lot of boost options under live logging.

whatever one I choose- it seemed to start at 14.7 and go up to 21 PSI- so I dont think im doing it right.

Go to live data and then boost. I think it's the option next to the bottom.

First click on Live Data, then click on boost, it's the second to last option.

Easier to go Live data then press up twice..Lot quicker than going down through all the logging options that Cobb provides

I got this code from exhaust leak, fixed leak and code is gone

More aggresive = more of a chance to misfire. Change plugs around and see if misfire follows...

Hey guys, I just got my AP today for my '07 335i. I am running stg 1 aggressive, linear throttle w/ injen intake as my only mod. I drove around for probably 25 miles and realized I am getting some kind of stuttering while accelerating in the higher RMP range. It feels like the car is turning back the gas because of traction loss but I was not having traction issues and dtc was partially off. Overall, acceleration is not very smooth; I am getting variations in acceleration with a steady increase in throttle, almost like the car is choking or something.

Any ideas?

Turn traction control COMPLETELY off and see if it still does it(ive had TC intervine a few times and the light never come on). If it continues Reset the ECU and give it a little time to adapt and then do some datalogging of boost, throttle position, timing and both load requested/actual and post the logs on here for help.
Also, get in touch with Cobb. They will help you out.

How much time is necessary for adaptation? Also, I am throwing the P2AAF code (fuel pump plausibility), but from what i've read, you can pretty much ignore that code.

It takes my car about a day to learn the tune. If i flash the car and immediately go WOT with a high load i get misfire like stumbles. If i drive it around for a couple hours it really smooths out and the power picks up.
From what i've read you're right about the P2AAF code, but i've never got that code. I've been running the Cobb tune for months(and thousands of miles) with zero issues; except for having to change the plugs to run stage 2+ but thats the plugs fault, not the tune's.

I wasn't aware of any "Adaptation" in a flash tune, Are you sure you just have to warm the car up before going WOT?

A piggy back needs adaptation.

Yep, i don't know if it's "adapting" per say, but it definitely gets better after having some time to learn what's going on. I've seen several people have the same experience with flashes. I assume it's doing the same thing the stock DME does when it learns it's adaptions, but since there is so much more power it's more obvious when it's learning.
