I have also heard changing the tips will affect the sound. I will find out a two weeks, going to europe and then back. Doing PE mod with quad tips since I already have the diffuser. My HPF exhaust sold fast too.

Let me know...the more I look at them the more I want to change them. I can't imagine it would change that much...

I heard it affects the tone and not the actual volume but will do.

I got the vanos outlet (2A87) error so I took both my vanos solenoids out and cleaned them up but since the error came back I decided to replace the outlet solenoid. That worked for a few days but now the intake one needs to be replaced as well (2A82). Anyhow the procedure takes maybe 20 minutes and Dorman makes replacements for $75.00 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I just did those on both the N54s. Not a bad job. I bought the dorman and the OEM. Both seem fine and fixed the codes. The Dorman's I could only get to seat by using the screw to suck them in while the OEMs popped in perfectly. Other than that they looked basically identical.

I did some searching and seen conflicting reports ranging from less burbles, no change, deeper tone. I just dunno. Do a before and after Jon haha. I might change but I'm unsure if I want to get dimasa tips or something less expensive. Where would you get it done?

Don't get the dimisa exhaust tips

I had them on my car for a very short period and I didn't find the quality to be as great as everyone was claiming

I think I posted this before but I will probably get these again: http://www.ebay.com/itm/2-25-inlet-4...ZWwd-N&vxp=mtr

I only had them for a month or two and never drove in the winter. I would expect rust where they are welded on as they are not clamped. You probably could clamp them...They fill out the stock bumper perfectly. There are some photos on the ebay listing that show fitment. Good news is they are inexpensive.

In other news still working on my tune. Outlets should be arriving this week so hopefully those go on next week and I can get it all tuned...

Smoked a few pounds of corned beef with a custom rub and a veggie stuffed with butter and more rub:

Crappy car videos, wife is driving it probably didn't get above 3k rpms. PE exhaust and burble set max and .5 seconds. I just have the window down in the X5:

They've taken the Lou's exhaust name sorta. There used to be a sign saying it. I drive by that shop on commute home

I spent $150 on tips + install which are basically brand new(I didn't drive it much while they were installed) so I'm basically asking $150 for the mufflers. So...yeah we'll see. I don't want to post it in the general for sale as I am not shipping it.

Might as well do a PE mod on it and sell it for something more?

I bought someones e90 muffler recently for 40$... all i wanted was the mounting brackets... 40$ for a whole muffler was still cheaper than getting those brackets from bmw

No access to welder so I would have to pay a shop. I have thought of it...if no one buys it I may cut the tips off, throw them on my PE, and offer it for less like $100-150.

I would have thought some 07 & 08 mufflers would be rusting out in the North East by now...

Surprisingly good condition. He left it outside for a year's too... anyways if you sell for 100, Joey would probably be interested if the flap valve is still attached.

They seem to have done a good job on the mufflers. My car was built almost 10 years ago and the mufflers still look great.
