So toys aren't allowed once you get married? What's up with that? We've got a draw full of them in the nightstand.

Congrats on the upgrade.

Finally decided to buy new slip resistant shoes for work because the shoes I am wearing now, I have literally worn through sole, through the rubber on the bottom, and if it rains my feet get wet. They are the most non-slip resistant shoes in the world at this point, so yeah, it's dumb and dangerous.

Lets just say he's able to do his job with only one hand. The other, well, it makes the floor slippery.

12 and 16 station hydromat turning cells that leak oil in the plant, coldform machines that also leak oil all over the plant..., old machines, spills from parts containers, etc. Machine stands have metal groove/slotted grates to stand on but still get slippery.

It's only slippery for a short while until the stuff dries on the floor and becomes all crusty. It's all just momentary.

What do you guys make or produce? Just curious, always was intrigued by manufacturing, think its cool how all those huge machines get shit done.

A lot of internal engine components, mostly ball plungers for valve lifters for VW, Audi, Mercedes, GM, Chrysler, Ferrari, and we just picked up a line for Cummins. We also produce one line of varviable valve lifters for new GM products as well as pump actuator roller bearings.

The largest coldformer we have here is a National, the dies for forming the rollers are about 80lbs each and runs 5 stations. For comparison the smaller coldformer dies weigh about 5lbs.

I'll post a pic of part progressions here shortly. The machines basically take a small coin of steel, jam a punch into the steel which jams into the die and makes all the formations by pressure alone. The national is a loud mother fucker when it's running.

Valve lifter line is a lot of milling hardened steel, turning, grinding with abrasive wheels, small tolerance honing, special form milling, as well as front/back chamfering on multiple through holes.
