Ok, are you showing us a new release (version 9.0) of flash from MHD? Clearly, you obviously have no mechanical issues.

This looks much nicer than what people have been posting for the v8.0 release. But it looks like they made it behave by removing all the ignition advance.

Edit: oh I see acn91 - worst fuel ever!

Canadian fuel life

I pretty much treat the car like a princess, but I fix things wrong the second they appear. They really have fixed most of the bad parts of 8.1. My biggest gripe with MHD is the random-ass corrections when driving long distances on cruise (-4/6 on some cylinders) and I drove this thing round trip for 8 hours and the worst I got was -5.3 on cyl4 ONCE. Everything else was -2/-4 which I think is acceptable with no throttle input. It's not as 'peaky' with boost entry but fuckkkk does it pull like a freight train.

disclaimer: my friend owns a big strip of private land (14 acres) which we use for testing, do your speeding on a track only.

You can prob turn off COOLANT since that shouldnt really go up during a pull.

Ah,, with regard to fuel, Im more seeing the short term trims being really high adding fuel but bank #1 doesnt really need it.. and I wouldnt think bank two would need that much

https://datazap.me/u/timothi2/pull-m...25&zoom=22-109

So how long as it been since it was flashed? Reset adapts for Lambda sensors and controls and then drive awhile and log again. This just pump gas 91 from like cali right?

What are the mods again? And how old are o2 sensors?
Yeah, I turned off the gear variable as I do all my logs starting in 3rd and shifting to 4th. I was having some cooling fan issues earlier so I have that channel turned on so I can monitor coolant temp while driving. I did reset the lambda a while ago, and the AFR's balanced out as well as the fuel trims but after driving it for a while my bank 1 is running richer again, as well as higher fuel trims for bank 1.

I reflashed probably about a week or so ago, and yeah I'm running 92 pump gas. Oregon is really weird, the highest we have is 92. Figured it's safer to run the 91 map instead of the 93 map, but I haven't been seeing much timing pulls, so I might try out the 93 map.

Mods are intakes, catless downpipes, chargepipe + bov, 5" intercooler, full exhaust, stock turbos. I have no clue how old the O2 sensors are, I pulled this engine + accessories out of an e90 335 and swapped it into my e91 wagon.

How many miles on the engine? I would look at the 02's first with regards to the fuel trims.
Would also have a look at the following:
Leaky fuel injectors
Excessive fuel pressure due to bad fuel pressure regulator or restricted fuel return line
Dirty air filter or restrictions in air intake system

Roughly 110k. I'll probably end up replacing all 4 o2 sensors just to be safe, injectors are on my list to replace too. I've been looking around for index 12's, I want this wagon to last for a while lol. Fuel return line should be good I think, otherwise both stft's would be high and equal to each other as they use the same return line for both banks correct? Dirty air filter probably isn't the case, the DCI's only have about 2k miles on them and they still look brand new. Thanks for all the help so far!

If trims are that far off between banks during cruise I would replace front O2s.

I've only got WOT logs, I'll get a couple while cruising and see what the car's doing then.

To truly reset lambda's you need to do it using INPA or other coding software.

Have you checked and cleaned your MAP sensor?
Replaced all your vacuum lines recently?

Can you guys take a look at these logs. I just had to smog it so worked my way back up to running 8.1 E30 1+. I added a little extra E85 this time hoping for better results. Is the boost peak after shift a 8.1 thing? Is the boost okay or showing a leak? how does everything else look? I'm still learning this stuff. Log runs are a little short due to traffic. Oh and lately using E I'm getting shadow code 2AAF fuel pump plausibility faults?? But runs very strong! Thanks

I'm having some issues with my low pressure fuel sensor PSI going nuts under load. I did just install some RB Two turbos, inlets, outlets, new O2 sensors and oil pan gasket and currently have a basemap from Wedge for the new turbos. I'm not sure if this is an issue with the basemap or the new LPFP sensor I just installed due to a fault code with the original. I also installed a new Fuel It Stage 2 bucketless pump before the new turbos and hardware, but prior to the new MHD tune this log looked to be fine.

Could this be an issue with the new LPFP sensor? I am also now getting a 2AAE shadow code.

Resetting adaptations and re-flashing did not change anything.

Logs are here.

I'll check out how to reset them through INPA, I'm no stranger to the bmw tools. Haven't checked the MAP sensor, I'll double check sometime soon. As for the vacuum lines yes, I replaced them a couple of weeks ago. Had the same issue with the old lines and the new replaced ones.

Hey All,

Car threw a 29F3 lpfp sensor error so I decided to get a quick datalog. Running MHD 7.1 stage 2. She seemed to run fine but on closer inspection, both ltft banks are pegged at 0. Anyone know what might be the cause?

Its pretty easy to reset lambda adaptations through INPA.
On my version its:
F8 (delete adaptations)
F2 (adaptations set 2)
F6 (all adaptations)

Have a look at both sensors, (Charge Pipe and Intake manifold) give them a good cleaning as well.

That's normal for LTFT's to be at 0 under WOT.
You have quite a few timing corrections as well your IAT's are climbing much too quickly.

I'd made a separate post for my issues, but would appreciate if anyone could take a look at mine. I know STFT is way off and i have timing corrections. would appreciate any advice

last log u posted seems fine, slight hesitation when shifting but thats a 8.1 issue... do you have everything you need for the stage2+? have you tried a lower stage and see if it feels better?

From asking a few folks everything is good except for the STFT, they should be fairly similar to one another. Mine are way way apart.

And yes everything for 2+. FMIC, secondary cat delete, catless DPs, DCI. Fresh oil, new Delphi coils, new plugs, new front O2s also.

I was running the 98RON map but someone commented it looked a little hot so I flashed down to 95. I should be able to run 98 however as I use 99 fuel, I suspect whatever it is that’s causing STFT to be off and timing corrections is to blame

Just replaced my valve cover & installed the RB external PCV kit (w/plugged head + low side oil catch can). I also cleaned my intake valves while I was in there, a couple of the cylinders had a surprising amount of carbon build up after only 10k miles.

Car felt great driving and my smoking issue seems to have subsided. I took a log and noticed a couple of throttle blips and my boost below target in the higher RPM range. Gas in the tank is 93 from Shell but is over a month old, not sure how much that would affect things.

Haven't looked at JB4 logs in a while but I don't think your throttle closures are significant at all. Timing looks very good but the best practice is to log all 6 cylinders. Boost and target track well up to 5500 rpm

I'm assuming you have stock turbos and significant miles on them. If so, perhaps it's not surprising that they can't hold your target boost above 5500 rpm particularly in the absence of inlets/outlets.

UNLESS this is a sudden change from previous behavior prior to the valve cover/low side catchcan/intake cleaning? If this is new behavior, a small boost leak might be possible.
