We've now got Stock, Stg 1, and 2+ dynos.

Dear COBB, could we please get a Stg 2 dyno as well?

I'd love to know what you get just going from 1 to 2 (NOT 2+). I've just bought DP's at this point, and don't have plans on installing a FMIC for a while, so I'm only going to be Stg 2.

Cleex above also seems to be saying his Stg 2 feeling like it's less power than his Stg 1 aggressive map. A dyno would sure clear things up, and make all comparisons apples to apples, using the same fuel, car, map level (drive/sport/aggressive), etc.

It was dynoed by Terry over on n54 forum, I think stage 2 agg makes around 360-365whp dynojet around 10-20whp more than stage 1.
I only see a difference in boost staying on longer in stage 2 other than that looks the same to me. Even though they say timing is .5 to 1 degrees higher than s1 but dont see that in my logs.

I tried stage 1 aggressive a few days ago. did some logs and I have timing drops in multiple cylinders. is the map too much for my car? I have shell 93 Oct. 2012 335is DCT with 1600miles. maybe sport map better?

How much of a difference should one feel from stock vs. stage 1? I drove a COBB stage 1 car (BOV, intake, exhaust) and I didn't notice much of a difference. There did seem to be significantly more turbo lag, though. Is it the smoothness that gives it the illusion of there being no change, when, in fact, there's a huge change? I should have done a head to head to really see.

I installed the AP within a week of getting my car - in my mind, it's the most ideal way to tune these cars. I've done the Stage 1, to Stage 2 (linear) to Stage 2+ (stock throttle) and have been really happy overall with each Stage.

My only complaint so far has to do with the flat spot in both the Stage 2 and 2+ tunes in the 3-4k RPM range. The car rockets off since turbo lag is almost non-existent, then the rate of acceleration flattens around 3-4k RPM, then power kicks in again (VTEC, yo!) and the car accelerates aggressively to redline.

I've read a post or two about it being VANOS tuning, but either way, it's not the smoothest pulling car at the moment. I hope the v.302 maps solve the problem.

Anyone else experiencing this?

Did a quick search before posting this response and came up with this thread - http://www.cobbforums.com/forums/sho...om-3-4000-rpms. Sounds like a fix is in the works.

Yup, same thing here. Pulls hard as hell-> then not so much-> then hard as hell

In my data logs the timing flat lines at ~6*(doesn't pull, just levels off) for a bout 1Krpms and then starts increasing up to about 11* or 12*. It seems like a fairly aggresive tune, but the logs look like the car is VERY happy with it and it feels great except for the "lull" in the midrange.

I've experienced similar things, although with my car you can hear the boost fluctuate in the bov and the rev of the exhaust. 3-4k rpm seems to have some boost control issue. I'm hoping new maps fix this.

I thought maybe it was my bov leaking with this issue at the 3 to 4 k pull .I can't wait to fix this issue with the map. Thinking * needs adjusting in this range .

anyone else getting random exhaust note changes?

I have had this issue since day 1, Cobb says it is just the wastegate opening/closing and that it is more noticable due to having an aftermarket exhaust.

Yes. not really an "issue" unless you have nothing else to worry about amiright?!

Bump for updates, Cobb has a few hours left in January to drop the new maps on us....

I'm not sure of that because COBB themselves haven't acknowledged the issue. On mine the timing and boost are reduced across all cylinders at 4k, steadu throttle. and timing across all 6 cylinders again at 5.8 to 5.9k. It's the 4k that's the issue for me.

Yes, on another forum Rob mentioned that January would be a very exciting month for cobb tuned n54 owners. This inferred the discussed new maps for stage 1+, revised stage 2/2+, and I was hoping for new on ATR.

Just wanted to give an update...I waited for the car to warm fully and on the way home from work tonight the boost was back to 14psi with a idle vac of 21 compared to 11 psi with an idle vac of 29....so it is definitely fluctuating regardless of engine temp...

Also, I do have one mod...injen intake.

If I were to log the car what would be my next step?

Thanks for the help.
