I've been waiting on this for almost a year... I'm at 142xxx and have been tuned since 70k with meth... so I'm guessing mine should have failed a long time ago. These guys need to get this done before everyone,(including me) just puts the oem one in and waits another 100k-140k/6-8 years to install the better one or just go with the cheaper option at that point because their cars would have 200/280k miles at that point. I would think they are losing out on a lot of business...

Replaced mine this past weekend.
Those pulleys are heavier than I imagined. |

We should have resolutions soon. We just caught them in the middle of a huge revamp. Trust me. I want one too... I'm still on original pulley. Everything else has not given me one issue on this vehicle thus far. Rock solid. |

Any update on a possible eta? I'm about to buy a vaico pulley for 185 +28 for bolts at autohausaz and keep my old one as a spare in the car...
Update: I decided to do the febi, hearing they are a better OEM... 278 ecs tuning, pricematch at fcpeuro... Last edited by robnitro; 06-15-2017 at 08:34 PM.. |

In the case of daytonaturbo, it was intermittent and showing up as battery and alternator issues. I'm doing mine this week because although it doesn't wobble, I don't want to be stranded on a trip out of state.
Btw, vaico had a bad report here from yozh, so if you can get febi for a bit more go for that instead. The bolts don't look like torque to yield at the spec of 40nm +120deg, seems low for those size bolts, so if you need you can get away with reusing them and replacing them one at a time later. But at 7 a bolt it's worth getting if you have the time. |

I just got my febi from FCP, it was drop shipped from California.
What's interesting is that it has the ground down area where BMW part number would be and looks like the OE corteco/bmw one, like this even with the shiny coating and cooling holes in the backside. Even the markings match up around the rim , the febi picture from ecs/fcp is much more different: |
