This brings up another point of discussion. What's your guys' "sweet spot" for eating before a workout? I usually hit the weights at 5:30, but I can't have any kind of snack after 3:30-4:00pm. I usually have a full lunch around 12:30.

I'm sure this has been brought up already in this thread but I'm too lazy to search through every page of it: how safe is pre-workout in the long-term?
I always see C4 at Costco but I never pick it up because I'm afraid I'll damage my body in the long run. To my knowledge, there aren't many studies out there (like there are for whey) supporting the notion that pre-workout is safe. |

I.e.- 2 months use it, 1 month off. Repeat. C4 is absolute garbage though. Check out "aps mesomorph" or "Jym" for preworkouts. Anything that has "proprietary blends" should be avoided at all costs. I like to know exactly what I put in my body.

I've been using C4 ever since it's been out and I have no side effects of any sort. Works like a charm for my needs. I use it 4-5 days a week and cycle off and on every other quarter. I never use it on leg day though.
To each their own. |

Making your pre work out can definitely be beneficial, however the ingredients should be carefully researched if you don't have much experience doing so.
That being said, deux scoops of the C4 will get me going. But for PR days a scoop of Nitroflex will get that ass in gear ! |

Used c4 again for first time in while. Didn't notice anything as far as feeling jacked or geared up but lifted well. Just seemed lighter. Not bad. Have been using superpump don't care for it.

There is no beta alanine, BCAA's, or creatine which are essentially the bread and butter for all preworkouts. |
