Just got my emissions passed without the O2 simulator
System passes and completes rear O2 readiness 7-10 days before catylist efficiency O2 triggers the SES fault. VRSF catless DP. |

Highflow Catted Downpipe
I read that there were issues running the catsim with the stock catted downpipe, but has anyone ran it with an aftermarket highflow catted downpipe?
The cattless downpipe smell and volume is just too much for me and I was hoping to solve that with a highflow catted downpipe. |

Can anyone confirm that long term fuel trims or any type of fuel trim is NOT affected with this cat sim running all the time on N55s ?? This is an important thing to know. Otherwise it can affect your performance long term. So is second O2 used for fuel corrections or just lambda O2 ?

No problems passing emissions. I would get errors prior to installing the DP fix. |

I would like to know as well. Per the site below it says it is ok to leave it in the car which would be nice- don't have to mess with it each year before Inspection... From a vendors website Product Description VRSF BMW N55 Downpipe Fix (DP FIX) VR-Speed Factory (VRSF) BMW N55 downpipe fix is now available. Downpipe fix is compatible with BMW E chassis and F Chassis. VRSF downpipe fix will hide the code generated by your BMW ECU when car is equipped with Catless or high flow catted downpipe. Unlike the N54 downpipe fix, this product can be installed on your car at all time and will not alter your AFR values. VRSF BMW N55 Downpipe Fix (DP FIX) |

Use it as needed and remove it once it served its purpose. My car is happier running without it. The codes haven't come back either. Below are the codes it would throw.

@ hibye that makes sense. And that why i was asking those questions. I know the long term fuel trims are used for idle control and it makes sense that the idle is not good. I would never keep that unit long term

Hi guys need some help with the N55 Downpipe fix.
11 335i xdrive Vrsf catless dp Mhd flashed to stage 0 aka stock Using the vrsf n55 dp fix which i believe is the ****** sim minus sticker Installed using the guide on this forum Unit has the blue light i see it blinking. After 50 miles i hit ready on all monitors besides evap. At 53 miles check engine light came on Those are the codes. Anyone expirience this? Is my oxygen sensor bad? I am in NY state which allows 1 monitor in not ready state to pass. Can i still go get inspected with the codes and check engine light or will that be an automatic fail even though my o2 and cat monitors are ready? Is it possible to get a defective simulator? Not sure where i go from here. Many thanks in advance Last edited by Ludilo; 07-09-2018 at 08:16 AM.. |

Passed in California
Got A74 installed and passed with VSRF DeePee. I have a 2012 535i PWG car. Had to drive cycle and drive moderately to testing station. WOT would throw codes but monitors remain ready. Got my cert and removed the device till next time in 2 years.

Just installed the VRSF fix and got a service engine soon light with the code 2D15, will this cause me to fail CA smog or will they just be concerned about readiness?

beside any code related to the O2 sensor, you will not get catalytic readiness. |
