Looks great socks!

This shot is $$$$$

What are the wheel width specs?

Cant believe how light those rims are, my $4000 a set made in japan advan rims were 9kg by memory! (that I had on a previous car)

You shall notice a difference ASAP, as the RFT's are really heavy also and the difference in unsprung mass will make the brakes feel more responsive and steering feedback and feel much more responsive!

AUSf22 BMR have the vorsteiner rims (which look exactly the same) and Vorsteiner USA are running pretty good deals on them atm on sale. When I looked they only came in 20", so I decided to go with my original plan 359M's

Dunno if anyone has ever suggested it to you, but your car could do with the window trim painted gloss black!! :P

Hahaha We are all living vicariously through Socket.

Sometimes I think it would be cheaper if Socket was addicted to meth instead of modding.

Specs are: 19 x 8.5 running 235/35 fronts, 19 x 9.5 running 265/30 rears
Massive difference in grip, ride and handling, I'm running over pot holes just to feel how the non RFTs soak up the bumps now.... ditching RFTs should have been my first mod... oh the shame
Haahaha black trim, yes has been mentioned once or twice

Hi Socket.
It is a credit to you on how you have transformed your car into such a neat and tidy, immaculate looking beemer in such a short space of time. The wheels, body kit, carbon fibre wrap and stance just make it look great. Can't wait to see what power you get out of it after you install all of the go bits. Well done.

Thanks Coupes, Doesn't seem like it but will tick over one year in a couple of months... doesn't time fly when you are waiting for car parts to arrive lol

Could you do with slightly wider spacers in the rear?

Got bigger tyres on front and rear, so not running spacers any more Miro.

I agree rears are not perfectly flush, tried 10 mm on the rears but they were too big. Might be able to fit 5s but not sure if it will make a noticeable difference?

It will, trust me.. 5mm is still huge in the game of wheel flushing lol

Nice wheels btw, about time you brought your car up to 2015 appearances

How did you get speedo to appear on digital screen!?

I want that for my car too!!

Edit: oh, and your car looks insane! I just went through every page and loved seeing your car slowly (actually pretty quick lol) change from stock to modded!

Awesome build thread man.

Thanks Maz, thanks for your kind words

Digital speedo can be activated using the BMWhat app or other coding device
If you are in Melb I'd be happy to do it for you

Here's a list of coding options available through the BMWhat app (aka Carley for BMW) http://support.mycarly.com/knowledge...t-is-possible/

I just checked out BMWhat App, never heard of it before... Do you use the full version or the lite version? Coz if the lite version does the digital speedo, that's all I want lmao.

Also thanks for the kind offer man, but I don't really go to the meets or anything - more of a lurker than a contributor unless I come past a great thread like yours

Lite version just allows you to play around with the tool
Really need the full version to do coding and stuff
I find it very handy for diagnosis (when the car chucks a warning light) clearing codes (stop error messages coming up when you install new bits like tail lights etc) and for coding (digital speedo, annoying seat belt ding etc etc). I have found it to be very handy

If you don't want to splash out on the full version, swing by anytime and I'd be happy to code a few things for you
