Thanks mate. Turns out the shadow chrome didn't look as I'd hoped so back to the drawing board.....

Just a little 2 pack car body filler mixed a little bit at a time. It's rock hard and sandable in 10 minutes and easy to work with to get a smooth finish

I'm thinking a colour the same as the ferrite grey OEM colour but with a slight bronze or dark chrome pearl to it and after a recent Porsche event I'm loving the Matt look on wheels

Thanks Raj. They aren't perfect as there are a couple of sags in the clear coat. Damn lacquer is so thin!

Unfortunately I think they make the car look boring..... Plus they look tiny compared to the M5 reps.

So I've made a start on the M5 reps....

I really wasn't a fan of how blingy the rotors looked side on. The rest if the detail easily got lost. Plus in my opinion the black makes them look a little more muscular. Going to try one against the car later and take it from there.

Due to the colour they will lose their details etc and hence not quite look as good as when silver. Still think they look good though buddy.

Look forward to seeing how the others come out.

They look spot on buddy. The prep work is always the most time consuming bit. Masking those areas off properly would take an age.

The results are so worth it though.

Look forward to seeing them fitted.

Gave her a wash using some new Autoglym shampoo and conditioner I got for Xmas. It really glossed up the paintwork

Been having a smell in the car the past few weeks. A little investigation revealed the top turbo oil feed pipe was dripping on the exhaust manifold. Number 2 in the picture.

I've done a temporary repair with self amalging tape which has stopped the leak. Ordered a new pipe and crush washers yesterday from Phil so another little job to do. I'll bang a DIY on this thread when I do it as this is a common fault......

In other news I reset my throttle AND gearbox adaptations for the first time since fitting the sprint booster. Night and day difference. Very immediate and smooth now.

Can't help but admire the effort you've put into this and it looks like it's in showroom condition.

I really liked the paint on your csl wheel and I'm really tempted to do my csl's in the same colour

Nice one buddy on the adaptations reset and temp fix etc. Always good when you get little jobs sorted.

thanks mate! The blower is fantastic. I use it EVERY time I wash the car (usually every Friday afternoon weather permitting). With the paint sealant I use water just scurries off with the blower then just a quick go over with a micro fibre. It comes into it's own with wheels, mirrors, grilles etc. Highly recommended mate
