Using LED Ring as Daytime Running Lights

I just installed my headlights this past weekend, but when I turn on daytime running lights from the I Drive only the light bulbs turn on, not the led rings. The led rings turn on when I turn my headlights on normally from the switch, but I would like to also use them in the day and I'm afraid of killing the battery by having my headlights turned out instead of daytime running lights. How do I make the LED Rings my daytime lights?

You can't code FRM1, you have to use a harness.

Damn those look nice. Wish they had a set for the e92. I checked into having mine done but I'm not paying $1500+ for headlights.

Yea I love how they look. Mine only cost $389 and installation is easy enough to do on your own.

On the back of the headlight there is a black cylinder shape thing protruding out somewhere. I think it has like 3 screws. Pull those off and I think the motor goes there.

I think the manual asdjistment is replaced by the motor. That's the only place I saw for the motor to go.

Were you able to use OEM ballasts, bulbs, etc.? I'm clear on losing the adaptive functions, just not on having to purchase an alternate kit if I wanted to go hid.

I don't remember, but I could not fit the servo motor to the headlight. It could be different in US, I don't know...

I had halogen headlights. LCI
