Good question. Right this second, April 20th with GPS Track Time and May 6th with MVP Track Time look pretty solid. I anticipate a few days at Road America this year as well.

Announcement: To make is easier to follow along, I simplified the entire first page of this thread here.

Plus... UPDATES!!!!!!!

Took a few photos of the freshly installed M3 LSD. That vented diff cover is MASSIVE. Here it is hanging lower than our mocked up rear diffuser...

Note to self... don't forget to fill with oil...

Here we have the mad scientist Eric is giving an idea of where the custom oval exhaust will go. Why oval over round tubing? Better ground clearance. This oval tubing is 2.5" tall x 4" wide and the equivalent is 3.5" round (read 1" shorter than comparable round). Given the limited ground clearance, every inch matters.

Custom EFab Motorsports FMIC designed around a Garrett core (supports up to 750hp) in the works...

Pulled the windshield for some custom dash work and we found a jungle gym inside!

Oh and there's this (diffuser is still in mock-up mode... and you can see my 3 year old boy patiently sitting there while Eric and I talk shop)

As per usual, the dudes absolutely CRUSHED IT on building this custom Garrett core FMIC and the bumper bar, which will serve as a mount for the FMIC.

They also cut the stock turbo snout and added this bend, which now allows us to retain the stock coolant overflow tank location at the small expense of now needing to remove the housing first before pulling the turbo. A trade-off well worth it in our opinion. They also welded on VanJen fittings so we can run some bulletproof Vibrant clamps to keep the pressurized intake tract free of any leaks/blowouts.

Quick mockup of the SpeedTech turbo kit. Jury is... it fits like a freaking glove. Could NOT be happier with this kit. This setup also makes it SUPER convenient to quickly access the WG if/when servicing is needed.

A view from the downpipe location: the SpeedTech motor mount (on the left), manifold and turbo.

And since we're able to retain the factory location for the coolant overflow tank, a little extra heat management doesn't hurt.

Next up... we have a few additional front end goodies en route as we speak. More to follow in the next post

They indeed do great job but isn't the whole process too slow as of now? Like months? If you have to pay per hour for that period of time I don't want to imagine the final quote

We had one nice project here as well, for E36 with V10 which took years and in the end its still not ready :/

Pics don’t do it justice. It’s extremely clean. We are EXTREMELT glad we’ve waited for this option to come to market.

Thanks brother! Fortunately we’re not S85 swapping this one so it shouldn’t be too challenging! That said, plenty of work left to do to get her ready for the season!

A nice care package arrived today from Klaus Composites. A beautiful full carbon fiber front splitter. It is MASSIVE yet incredibly light. They even designed it with provisions on the ends to allow for future upgradeability

That smile pretty much sums it all up. My boy loves visiting the shop to see the racecar just like his old man

The full carbon fiber Klaus Composites splitter is INSANEEEEE to see in person. This is definitely taking EVERYTHING up a notch.

With the added front wheel width, it was only a matter of time until we overwhelmed the stock power steering system on track. We added a Setrab cooler + fan to the giant gap in the drivers side wheel well. The custom shroud will help it pull air from the ducted headlight

Oh yeah... and the start of this stunning custom aluminum dash

Have you seen this thread? Pretty interesting read on his aero build, amazing how much lbs of downforce he was able to get with the mods he did

I have! And it’s pretty impressive what could be done with some small aero tweaks!

For the front pinch weld, did you ever consider just grinding it down? I am running 275s on my 1er and it looks like I juuuust might rub on that pinch. I don’t need the amount of clearance that you do and don’t have the time to weld in a panel.

It’s a sponsored car done by the shop owner. That’s why it has taken so long. That and all the custom parts done in-house doesn’t help either.

Unless you have the budget of a pro race team, these sort of things take time.

Spot on. We’ve also had serious delays on several of the major components for this build (turbo kit, wide body) which really killed our original timeline. The scope of this build has also turned up in a huge way as well adding plenty more to the build timeline.

I hope you're still able to make the GPS Track Time event at ACC on April 20th!

Thanks!!! The team at EFab have been doing some incredible work... Everyone is pushing hard to get her on track ASAP!!!

A few updates!

New tubular core support, makes for a FAR stronger mounting structure for the radiator, bumper and hood.

Hard piped lower oil cooler lines...

Oval tube exhaust installed!

And a much beefier oil catch can and aluminum power steering tank

The inter-cooler is f**kin massive! Like 3x the size of the vrsf upgraded one that came on the car? I freaking love the exhaust setup man. I gave you a follow on instagram. Really looking forward to some on track action shots.

And thanks for the kind words! Can’t wait to have her out on track as well!

sirdaft1 are you able to get a bit more pics of the front bumper bar/custom radiator housing/support please? Just bought a wrecked e92 n52 and looking at ideas for mounting custom rad/oil cooler and this solution looks interesting how its all tied in. Can't quite see if the radiator mount is welded to the frame horns or if it is just off the custom bumper bar?
