I mean the China Premium 2020-1 map is not listed in the lookup file. Would you please be able to add it? I just downloaed the China Premium 2020-1 map, if you need the map info, please let me know. Thanks a lot!

You may have to use an Ethernet cable to pull down the General Persistence file directly.

The USB 1b method requires a later original equipment CIC.

well, even if I had the file and code, my navigation does not start updating when I insert the new map with the usb disk, so there is another issue...

Thanks, but shouldn't the unit detect the new maps if inserted in the USB and start asking for code? Because in my case it does not... I believe I have the old firmware which only supports the DVD based update.
Does anyone know how to burn the big 20+ gig files on DVD's to update that way?

As I mentioned in the other threads, your car has a pre-07/2010 build date so your CIC may be too old even with an I-level firmware update.

At best your CIC needs that update to be upgradable via USB assuming it is stock equipment.

Hey, you are right ... I don't have that little "i" and tick box in the screen, so mine is older and does not accept programming via USB. I have a booking with BMW for recalls, so I'll enquire how much they want to flash the car to newer firmware.

I think people here have been quoted about $400.00 USD for a complete i-level update.

My Indy did mine w/o charge while they were tackling a minor issue since they needed to apply the update anyway.

If the check mark appears then you will likely be able to install the lifetime FSC code too.

Hello, I've been trying to luck it out using the Date function, and you can imagine: it hasn't worked yet.

I can't even get to chose a date, the drop-down is either empty or greyed out.

Any help would be appreciated.

Try restarting the Generator program.
Click on 'By File' first, then click on 'By Date' and then 'NBT'. Enter the last 7 chars of the VIN and then the 'Select Date' drop-down should work.

P.S. Make sure you have the latest version of the FSC Generator (v1.91).
