Photos look absolutely fab! Loving the T350 (unreliable cars rule ), the carbon bonnet and pics of all your gleaming cars!

Thank God I'm finally back home... what a long day, and long weekend!!! Got home first time round at 7pm after a horrendous slog down the M1 which had accident after accident... took me four and a half hours to get from London to Stockton-on-Tees then to Bradford, but almost seven hours to get from Bradford to London direct... Anyway, sorry for my tardy response/post - just got back home properly after dinner...!! Exhaaaausted...

But, before I pass out unconscious, MEGA THANKS to Gavin & Alison for the organising, cajoling, herding and all round hospitality shown - my first time driving the Yorkshire Dales, and it certainly isn't going to be my last... What an EPIC roadtrip...!!

Of course, the Northern Meet wouldn't have been as successful were it not for all the members who turned up and made it the hugely fun event it was. Great to see old friends and make new ones too. And also good to finally meet those I chat to a lot online here, but not in person...

These events really do make the work all of us do worthwhile, as we can see first hand the fantastic and incredibly diverse community that we are all a part of.

Question for Will - I've been meaning to ask you this over the weekend, but did you deliberately make sure Porscha's fanbelt would snap, so that you could be the one to rescue a damsel in distress and spend some 'alone' time with her?!!!

You made a really big effort to get me there & for making sure I was looked after properly, so thanks very much my friend.
Also, some excellent, confidence-instilling driving Tony under some difficult conditions- well done.
Most welcome Vivski!! Couldn't let you miss another meet now, could I ?!! And besides, I figured it would do you good to see the likes of Will and Paul again - gives you even more reason to stay home next time !!!!

Was a great drive - think the suspension is fully bedded-in now, don't you think?!!

Vivski - 912 pictures... 912 !!! Going to take me more than a 'few days' !!!

Oh and he drives it properly as well.
Thank you Helen my dear It's nice to be able to surprise a few more exotic cars!! And I did notice... well, actually I couldn't not notice(!) that you also drive your car properly....*cough*... You have SUCH a lovely motor.... and it sounds fab too...! Was a teeny bit worried though when we were going though Malham Tarn between the drywalls - didn't realise the rear of your car was so wide!!!

So, overall, a brilliant weekend and well worth the journey up. 13 hours of driving in all, covering 682 miles over the weekend!! I would go back in a flash, even if it is "oop north" !!!

Pictures will be coming... soon... ish...!

Thanks Tony.

As long as there are a few good shots amongst that lot, it'll have been worth it.

Most of them will probably be from your room when you two sloped off early from the curry house. Bit of mod bonding was it?

Love that bit of the route. Can't believe we met a Tesco delivery van out there though!

Actually Will, we were planning on which of the shots of you to use in the next edition of the 'E90Post Herald'.

Best of it was Gav, by the time we'd trundled past the Tesco man he was just sitting there with his mouth open - bloody funny the look on his face. Personally, I thought it was quite funny seeing a Tesco delivery van in the middle of nowhere.........must be the modern replacement for the Hovis push bike lol.

The cyclists all looked a bit surprised as well... particularly the one I went past, (slowly) but who stepped back, lost his footing and nearly fell off the edge of the valley! Thought he was going to go right over the edge!

A pleasure Tony. We thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience and it was great to meet you and see the legendary 335i in the metal! Sounded great coming up the road from Ilkley with Helen's Turbo!

I got a good few opportunities to listen to Tony's car en-route to the Cow & Calf - definitely sounds nice!

We'd managed to 'stretch our legs' a bit before hitting traffic through Ilkley then we were 'presented' with that clear stretch of road rising up towards the pub..........hmmm, had to be done eh Tony.

Funny how the slowest part of the route seems to be the collective favourite

That valley was simply awesome, esp where the road drops away and you just see a feckin big drop and those haripins
I am goign to try Paul's google earth route later to re-live the fun.

My other fav spot was between Cow & Calf and Grassington - Gav, Simon & Paul (PJS) got past the mobile chicane Vectra and it took me another couple of minutes to find a safe passing spot. I then went past, followed by Paul (-Paul-) and we had a great time catching them up.....and found what felt like both the upper and lower limits of my suspension every 100 metres

I wouldn't know what you mean Helen dear!!
But yes, that was a nice gift of a road - fun roundabout at the end of it too...!! I had Viv laughing away in the passenger seat, though I don't know whether that was laughter from fear or due to something else!!

Tony, it was a combination of that fantastic suspension, the acceleration & the photoshop ideas I was having involving Williamina.

Nice one Tim, I didn't realise you and Paul had done that. Those roads could be used by car manufacturers for suspension testing. Excellent stuff.

Oh yes the roundabout! I wasn't sure whether that woman (in a Fiesta?) was coming around it as she didn't indicate to turn left so my line was spoilt. Good excuse to gun it though. I think Viv's crutches are probably the only ones that have experienced high velocities and fast cornering lol...........still can't get over what you had in the boot of your car.

The slow moving Vectra on the bumps was a real challenge and a high point - probably something Gav organised to spice up the trip.

There were certainly a few rough landings for people over that stretch as car touched tarmac.

I'd thought my new Eibach springs weren't much different to the original factory sport suspension until that point - but they were tested to the full on that section I can safely say they are very much firmer than stock

It was just a brilliant day
