I'm curious to know if our ECU's track the following events:

1. whether or not our motors get close to overheating
2. goes into limp mode / # of limp mode events
3. records maximum temperatures reached and # of times.

Does anyone know this?
Actually, you CAN GET max temps from teh ECU, how do I know? My dealership did it this past sat for me.

I am waiting for BMWNA's call..

Also, as a side note, I am really getting annoyed with how long it takes my oil to warm up. Its ridiculous already, after 15 minutes its still climbing and has not reached a cutoff.
As far as your oil heating up, that is a GOOD THING. Once you get above 100 degrees your engine isn't being hurt by oil that is too thick. The point of the engine taking so long to heat up, is the same reason the M3 engine takes forever to heat up: they are made to dissipate as much heat as possible.
